Hi Karen
Just thinking of you so glad your doing ok. DO know what you mean about that feeling I was doing anything smoking a straw or eating, sip water it lasts a bit but do go in the end. you have almost done your first day now maybe give yourself a nice treat with a bubble bath and nice glass of wine or grape juice. Just dont smoke good luck will be thinking of you Linda xxx
Also, smoking stifles hunger. So it could be a slight hunger as well as a loss! eat every 2 hours little but often
Hi Buffy
How you doing theses days. How long is it for you now hope all is well now your that bit older hehe. Boudees quiet latley hope she is ok. Week ten for me 2moro feeling a lot better the last few days. My partner and I are going to spain in july when I am of from school. Something to look forward to been together 29 years this year and never been on holiday before. Only thing is wish he would give up smoking again before we go its getting to me more now than before he quit. (but i am not saying a word hehe) Hope all is well Love Linda
Morning Linda I will be 12 weeks completed tomorrow!!
On 27th May it will be 3 months completed!! I can't believe it!
So happy to hear about your holiday! I posted yesterday, I have been with my fella 6 years and we had never been away till last month and i thought that was bad but 29 years!! Wow your going to have such a fabulous time!! it's so good for you both x x
I hope he gives up too but it doesn't matter too much, as long as your quit, you can roll your eyes at him every time he rushes of for a ciggy at the airports
Well Done on beating that monster, against all the odds!
Got me thinking ...
Hi Everyone!
Quitting with partners who still smoke can be another kind of personal hell sometimes.
When I quit first time for pregnancies my husband carried on smoking. At that time I was incredibly scent sensitive. I remember him lighting up on the way out of the door (compromised on the no-smoking indoors thing) but within seconds I was retching into the toilet. Urgh!
Wish I hadn't started again, but hey ho. Lots of changes for me since. 4 years divorced and not looking back.
My partner does not smoke, so I guess it's easier to remain smoke-free. But I'm wondering how some of you guys are handling partners who smoke?
Big Hugs for all of us who care enough to quit. YAY!!!!
Kubali
It's ok for me now, my partner smokes of the night time only and not lots, I know there are my brand of cigs in the drawer I could just walk into the kitchen and have a fag anytime!
I haven't though! Was tough at times but i would always give myself something to do first, have a bath, glass of wine, run to the shop, play with the kids etc etc
then i could have one if i really still wanted to, I never did really want to after I had carried out my mini mission!
Thats why I always say you have to take things 1hour at a time at the beginning.
