Day 1,a very long road ahead 5hrs and 39mins without a fag,god is it hard work.

Had loads of temptations already watching my football team lose :mad: ,would of smoked about 10 fags during the game but i didnt give in, now game over need something to do and quick,any suggestions.

Well Done on the decision to quit, I hope you have managed to get through the craving you posted. In future there are things you can try, take a walk, deep breaths and imagine a happy senario, sip water, read and my favourite is to go somewhere no one can see/hear me or shove my head in a pillow and let out an almighty Primal Scream!

Hope day 1 passes quickly for you, it's a difficult day but still is only 24 hours xx

Hi all

yes still here but its hard work.

Today ive had so many urges to smoke, im a window cleaner and my customers keep brewing up for me,cant refuse them because they might not ask me again lol,so anyway when a brew comes so does them urges,keep reaching to my top pocket for my fags but then think, hey Roy you not a smoker no more,but when you've smoked 40 a day for the best part of 20 years it really is hard,but im still here and still strong and with the help of champix and all you guys i will not give in.thanks all

Glad you are still with us the first few days are hard but before you know it you have done the first week. Then you dont want to waste the days you have all ready done keep going you can do it. I was on 40 a day and been smoking for 32 years if I can do it anybody can Im on day 41 now good luck keep up the good work Linda

It's so hard to face everyday routines which remind us of smoking, once you have had more and more days non smoking you'll visualise such tasks being completed without the smoking.
