I am a transplanted person and I am doing good since 19 years with immune supprecent medications. I fell down on a frozen slippery road 2 weeks back. Luckily it did not broke my hip and with little acute hip pain, I do not want to take any pain killer medications.
Any transplanted person has ever gone thru chiropractic/acupressure with electrical impulses therapy to minimize or reduce hip or any acute pain ?

Yes. I had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders and during physical therapy, they use the electro therapy. I enjoyed it and did not have any problems with it when it came to my transplant. Good luck and i hope you get better soon
Hello babudvg, I sure am sorry to hear about this nasty fall! My spouse had the transplant and has never gone through chiropractic/electrical stimulation but I have for my 2 herniated back disks for over 20 yrs. Sometimes due to ergonomics or picking up something I should not when I do see my chiropractor and he does adjustments that helps a lot with pain for me and also the electrical stimulation you asked about helps with pain in his office too. I own a portable unit I purchased from him to use at home when body pain is bad and I really don't want to u se anything stronger than an over the counter pain reliever. My mind is forgetting what that unit in a small carrying case is called. It does not hurt but tricks the brain from feeling the pain you really are in while using a small electrical current in specific locations near the pain. easy to use. I wish you all the best!
HI Babudvg, the good thing is I seldom use the portable unit ( I think it is called an electrical stem unit), but love having it in an emergency on a holiday or weekend when my chiropractor is not available or an appointment is in the future and I'm in pain. It takes the edge off. The adhesive bandages at the pharmacy I used on my low back due to driving a car too far and flying for hours in a plane before hand and this bandage with medication in it helped take the edge off too.
I wish you all the best. I also have used acupuncture when I was awaiting back surgery and this alternative method helped me in pain relief too. Just sharing. Of course I would talk to your transplant dr before you do anything, or by now your private nephrologist since your transplant was long ago. Happy for you too.
