Kidney cyst
I have a kidney cyst and have had it for many years. It isn’t having any effect on my kidney or GFR. They told me there is nothing to be concerned about. Did they tell you need surgery for the cyst? If not, there may be nothing to worry about. Check with your doctor to be sure. Sorry I couldn’t be mor3 helpful.
Thank you for reply, coming 10 January is my next appointment with urology doctor,he said have to take MRI then we look for neutral it,because when we do ct scan got 4cm above kidney cyst and slightly looking complex, and recently in these 2 days I have more proteinuria and I'm feel very tired 😫

Simple cyst or complex
Your egfr right now
What is your medication and how old are you
Sorry too many questions 😅
I just seen your message. I am 66 years old. My kidney disease is from high blood pressure. I believe it is a simple cyst about half the size of yours. I don’t know what caused the cyst or even how long it was there before being accidentally discovered. My eGFR is 11. Meds I take related to my kidney disease is EPO Injections and iron infusions for anemia, Calcitriol for high PTH (parathyroid hormone), Sodium Bicarbonate for Metabolic Acidosis and 3 meds for high blood pressure. Hope that helps.
I have PKD, cysts everywhere. I've had one cyst aspirated to relieve pain. It's a long needle that pulls the fluid out of your cyst. There is no change in my GFR. It always depends on the makeup of the cyst and why they would want to do surgery.
