CKD treatment through Natural ways

As my husband has stage 4 CKD, in India there are several Ayurvedic centres which claim of treating any disease through natural ways. I approached one which is very much viral on Instagram and that is Shuddhi. Though the medical centres are not so polished and so their staff. They encourage to stop allopathic medicines and take their medicines. We followed the course but didnt see any improvements.

Likely the supplements do not work for everyone and some might hurt your situation and/or other conditions. Maybe best to check with your Doctor before you start any supplement.

do not waste your money. If it worked they’d be billionaires.

hi Drubina, I search for some information and I found them too, I was thinking to get them because seems reasonable the way they explained everything but just the thing that you need to deposit money, made me doubt about it, but, I agree that diseases are mostly inflammation and vitamin deficiency, you need to address the root of the kidney problem, try to fix it, give the body the right nutrients, vitamins etc, and give time to heal with your diet, and you need to act fast, since the health is declining and doctors only prescribed Medicine , and once you get into dialysis everything gets more complicated, Try to search for natural herbal teas to detoxify your kidneys and give them the proper nutrients, wishing the best for you and your family

Thank you for your response. I found them legit as the kind of detailed info they have shared. But you know just worried that they should not be fake and medicines should not be fake. They have instagram account as well which details all info.

Drubina

I also live in India and I have also heard lot about ayurvedic treatment.

By the way can you share more details about your husband's CKD like what is creatinine, his age, is he having any other diseases etc. is there protein in urine?

Hi Vinda,

My husbands age is 60. Creatinine is 3.3. He has high BP mostly around 140/80. Also gets acidity. There is protein in urine

we did go to Shuddhi Ayurveda - HIIMS in Mumbai. They gave so many medicines and told to stop Allopathy. His health has gone more bad. HIIMS only gave medicine without proper investigation. So lost hope. Now they are saying why we stopped allopathy. So you see its so confusing.

so sorry to hear this.

I think that the prognosis is not so favorable mainly on account of protein in urine. I am sure that you must have tried standard allopathic medicines for this issue

Just out of curiosity how long did he take ayurvedic medicines and did he check progress in the course of treatment

I live in Pune and I am planning to contact one Ayurvedic doctor.

I am meeting her on Saturday.

Then I will let you know.

However in my case all my other health parameters are normal except for creatinine and my nephro says that nothing to worry and this is due to old age

Ok. In my husbands case he has high BP and acidity. But yes i have heard from many that with old age creatinine goes high. Its all about balanced diet, less protein. How is your egfr

I hope so. Do you have any experience from others who have benefited from Ayurvedic treatment

Honestly, i see videos that many got treated. But none from my known people. My husband went for the treatment there and they gave him hot water therapy and massage. After the therapy the BP used to come down. But later in the day again BP used to go high and then he has to take his regular BP meds. First they told him to stop taking all medicines. Then they told him why he stopped taking meds. So my point being, if you have to depend on allopathy medicine then whats the point of ayurvedic treatment. Ayurvedic treatment cannot be relied fully as we need to depend on allopathy.

Not only that I have heard that their medicines damage the kidney.

Hence I am skeptical

Yeah. Better you dont take any chance. Allopathy doctor will give you creatinine low tablet and to maintain a proper diet. Avoid salt and high protein food. Absolute veg.

there is no tablet to lower creatinine

I suggest you visit a Nephrologist. Based on your reports, they will suggest the right course of treatment.
