Anyone have suggestions on WFPB recipe apps/sites?

Has anyone tried the Forks Over Knives app for plant-based recipes (one-time fee of $4.99)? Is it any good? Any other WFPB apps or sites that are worthwhile/free? Seems like so many options are directed at Vegan diets, and I am not Vegan, nor will I be. I'm changing to a mainly plant-based "lifestyle" rather than "diet", and would really like recipe options. Thanks for any info based on your experience. My dietician was pleased with changes I've been making, which is encouraging, but since I'm a newbie in the WFPB world, I could use some extra help. I seem to end up spending hours Googling from one article to the next...so much info out there! Thanks everyone!

I know vegan is harder to stick with and is more for those with ethical reasons like animal rights. I have been a lifelong vegetarian and back and forth vegan. I always get too low in protein when I go vegan due to allergies to soy products, etc.

I still love a website called VegWeb which has both Vegetarian and Vegan recipes. You can adapt their great plant based Vegan recipes easily by using regular butter instead of soy butter and regular cheese, etc.

vegweb.com/

I also have a digital subscription to Vegetarian Times Magazine. They have a lot of articles and recipes which you can peruse for free on their website, but their magazine and APP is a bit expensive, however they are on sale right now.

I don't have a Smart Phone so I don't have any APPs.

My phone is like this in turquoise!!! Seriously.

Love the phone, but since you cant identify who is calling I bet the auto warranty people reach you often! Merry. Merry Christmas and I hope the New Year brings many more laughs.

LOL, if you click on the pic that is pretty much what the meme says. It's an original ATT from the 60s probably. No warranty I'm sure!!!

I have another cordless house phone with a voice mail so I can screen calls, but still no caller ID or apps. It's too expensive for caller ID on a house phone, it's part of a Smart Phone's features I guess.

I used to have the wall phone, but love my mobile...and drmind is right...with all the scam robots calls nowadays, I'd have to have an answering machine that could handle a lot of junk calls! I never pick up the phone unless I recognize the ID. And it's so convenient for jumping on and keeping up with sites like this. Thanks for the info on recipes, etc. I'll never go vegetarian or vegan, as I like chicken, turkey, dairy, and don't have issues of eating animal products. But am trying to switch to more plant-based. So much info "out there" to mull through. I'll get there eventually. Merry Christmas Sophiebun11!

You can also use the vegetarian side dishes with your poulty LOL!!! I do have a phone with voicemail in my living room to screen calls. It holds 30 calls. I delete them a couple times a week.

Merry Christmas to you. Here's my kitty Henry with his little Snowman full of treats.

Aw, how cute! Tell Henry Happy New Year! Hope you had a nice Christmas. I was fortunate to be invited to spend the day with friends, and ate way too much that's not part of my plant-based low-protein diet, but it was all so good! Sure feel it today though...very sluggish. Maybe there's something to that healthy eating hype after all!! Back at it tmrw. Enjoy your week.

nascar, I'm kind of where you are. Not going vegan but don't eat a lot of meat. Mostly eggs and cheese with a bit of pork or beef thrown in once in a blue moon. If it's recipes you are looking for I would suggest you go to Barnes and Noble and look at all the cook books they have, which are tons. If you don't want to buy, find what you want then go to local library and check the same book out. Good luck

Libraries are a great source. I'm so happy they are open again. I hated it when they had to close early in the pandemic.

jodaer, thank you so much! Ya, I love dairy and can't see myself without it, but have to look at it as my protein intake now. I haven't had red meat in a couple of years, just because I'm not crazy about it, but do love chicken & turkey breast, pork once in a while, fish. Just have to get used to a small portion surrounded by veggies, etc. rather than a big piece of chicken breast with not much else in the plate. I don't have ethical issues with any food, just want to feel better, lose a little weight, and protect remaining kidney function. Finding good books at the library is such a great idea...duh, don't know why it never dawned on me. I spend a lot of time Googling plans & recipes that could be better spent. I appreciate your help! Take care.
