Hey just wondering if anyone has ever has a parotid gland tumor? I have one scared š± yup. Do they biopsy it said iLL defined margins?
And my hemoglobin is teetering around 8.0
The nephrologist has put me through the wringer with tests after Iāve told and told over and over itās anemia of a chronic disease.
First was stupid colonoscopy cause stool card thingie was positive. Hmm š¤ Anyway I get the colonoscopy and endoscopy both done Gastroenterologist said good come back in 10 years.. whatever!! But he did have a suggestion for my digestive issues since having 2. Plus feet of small bowel removed. Weight stays around 100 my food just goes straight through ( graphic sorry) anyway he said I have Bile Absorption problem prescribed nasty medicine I think Iād rather run to toilet.
After colonoscopy now they sent me to a hematologist. I had 14 tubes of blood taken at one time!! Does anyone know what Kappa Lambda lights are?? I had tests run Iāve never heard of. Then have to wait a month to see Doc about results.. torture.
Well after all my rambling Iām wondering about the Tumor, blood tests. Like normal Iāve google some tests result stuff only to scare the crap out of me what is multiple myeloma? Cancer?
And now a trip to Rheumatologistā¦.

While I am very empathetic to your situation, the only item I can advise you about is in an article re: Parotid Gland tumors, found on the following website at hopkinsmedicine.org I tried to copy and paste the link, but no go. I wish you well.
Are you meaning tumor of thyroid or Parathyroid or carotid or??? Nephrologist is running tests to rule out certain causes of anemia. They are fully aware it's due to kidney failure. If your G.I. doc says come back in 10 years -- that's good, means they have no concerns. I was told same thing.
Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer and requires specialized testing.
Transplant workups need lots of blood. Mine always needed 35+ tubes. I know it seems like a lot but it's not.
Your hgb will be tested 1-2X per month so they can figure out how much meds to give you to help with your anemia. It's standard.
Thank you . Itās the parotid gland the one that is in front of the ear kind in the cheek. Mine is over the main 5 nerves that control your smile frown closing your eyes etc. From what I read they recommend surgery whether itās malig or benign?
I really donāt understand different tests like the kappa lambda light chains ? Whatever that is lol is in the abnormal highs. I just thought as the hematologist was walking out door I asked what tests are you doing that I havenāt had lol already and I do remember him saying multiple myeloma two or three times at appt I shrugged it off cause I just know itās anemia of chronic illness. The kidneys are putting out more than normal erythropoietin? I dk Iām tired of feeling like Iām gonna pass out and tired of the falls that leave me bruised and swollen for months. I bruise so easy if I bump something I say ā bruiseā lol O well .. but thanks for replying.
Oh, okay. Since this forum is kidney based I just assumed you were meaning something about kidneys. I didn't realize you were referring to the salivary glands. My apologies. I understand about the bruising. I need to go back to my hematology Dr.
