My husband recently got an Abdominal CT , and it was noted that he has a "small left kidney suggesting vascular insufficiency".
His urologist (we have one in our area, and my husband's health makes travel difficult) just dismissed our concern. He said that if it was something to worry about, he would have told us. Grrr. If we hadn't seen the CT report, we would never know. His eGFR, creatinine, BUN, etc. are all normal. I know he's concerned because of my experience with CKD.
I would love to hear from those who have experience with one small kidney. Thanks!

Being a kidney patient, you should have access to your nephrologist. Your husband should be paying that doctor a visit. Talk to the person who has a working knowledge of the affected organ. It's always been my credo. Don't ask your proctologist for throat advice.
