I just got my labs back and my A1C is 6.4, fructosamine is 238, which is in range. But, how does that correlate to the A1C? I know this was discussed a while back but can't find it now. I've tried googling it, but nothing came up . Thanks

Here is a link regarding fructosamine and A1c test .bing.com/search?q=fructosam...
From our previous conversation - the formula is:
HbA1c = 0.017 X fructosamine level (µmol/L) + 1.61
238 = A1C of 5.656
The fructosamine is a helpful number and can reflect more recent glycemic control.
In other words a read on it could be that you've made some improvements recently 2-3 weeks that brought your A1C down a bit and those changes are reflected in the fructosamine number being lower than your A1C.
I'm sure your doctor will have a better way of saying it, or maybe not.
If you have made changes that are leading to better blood sugar numbers keep it going!
It will show up in your A1C next time around.
I'm not a diabetic, I went on Google & it stated for people without diabetes the range should be 175-280, people with controlled diabetes 210-421. A normal AC1 level below 5.7% is normal, 5.7% to 6.4% is prediabetes range. I hope this helps.
Yes, thanks for the info and for doing this.
