Hi i have posted a while ago and I’m thinking of posting about my chronic back pain.i think it is kidney related as i have diagnosed with acute kidney injury in 2007 and 2017.doctors asked me to keep tracking my kidney conditions and I’m doing as they have instructed.so far so good.no any abnormalities.but my problem is i have this chronic back pain which never goes away.the pain comes from middle part of my back.and also i have this lump on my back underneath the skin just above the right kidney area.and the pain mostly comes from there.and significant formy urine whenever I urinate.yes i know that at a first glance you gonna tell me those are the kidney diseases symptoms.but as i told you there are no any kind of abnormalities in my kidney.doctors are saying my kidneys are functioning well.but i have this unbearable back pain and it hurts me so much each and every time in my life and i can’t ignore it any further.and I'm thinking of doing a kidney biopsy in order to identify any issue if present with my kidney.please anyone have any idea would be great.

I too have hellish back pain, I know part of it is from my degenerative disk disease due to an autoimmune disease.
My Dr. reassured me that my back pain was muscular when I had a newer more severe pain.
Back pain in that area can also be from kidney stones or even a kidney infection.
Have you had a recent urinalysis or an Ultra Sound of your kidneys? That would tell more than a biopsy for pain and a lump. You could have a cyst under your skin or a lipoma which is benign. If you try ice or heat and that helps your back pain then you can at least know it's muscle related and not kidney related. Not that muscle or disk pain hurts any less than kidney related back pain, but you need to have your Dr. get to the root of the pain. If it is muscle pain then physical therapy could help.
At any rate appropriate medication can help relieve pain, but not NASAIDS. Check with your Nephrologist or PCP. Give a heating pad a try until you can reach your Dr.
Alternate with ice.
Best of luck, hope you're feeling better soon.
I would suggest an MRI to see what is going on. It could be kidney related but also could be muscle, nerve or spinal

My nephrologist has always told me that kidneys on there own do not cause pain, unless you have an infection, kidney stone or a blockage in one of your kidneys. You should not be having back pain from CKD.
Sounds like your back pain has been going on for awhile.
If this were me, I want a complete work up to find out the cause. It may not even be related to your kidneys...muscles, spinal, etc
Someone suggested an MRI. I would be calling my doctor first thing Monday morning.
It's time you figure out what is going on. Be your own advocate. Pain is a sign of a problem. Pain is not normal! Find out the cause ASAP.
I have chronic back pain (lower back left side). A back specialist could not find source of pain. He said it was referred pain. Referred pain, also called reflective pain, is pain perceived at a location other than the site of the painful stimulus. An example is the case of angina pectoris brought on by a myocardial infarction (heart attack), where pain is often felt in the neck, shoulders, and back rather than in the thorax (chest), the site of the injury. He said usually an organ pain possibly kidneys.
