Hi MauroMauro,
Welcome to our community! Here you will find the most wonderful, knowledgeable and supportive people.
I am glad to that you are seeking another opinion regarding your test results as any doctor who specifies that things are " normal" without explanation or discussion is not where you want to be.
You have the right to answers and it is the doctor's responsibility to provide them.
Your doctor should be your first line of communication.
If he/ she is not listening to you, speaking to you in basic terms , willing to include you in your medical action plan as well as consult with the other members of your medical team, then you don't want them.
We are hear to support you, but your doctor should be reviewing test results with you.
I would print out a copy of your labs and check off any areas which flag high or low based on the ranges next to your results from the lab.
I always note my last test results next to the current one as to look for patterns, increase / decrease.
Look at your results and list questions for the new doctor.
I have the lab sheet on front of me when we are going over results as to be able to see what they are and ask questions as we go.
I note answers on the side of the sheet and transfer them into a notebook which I can review when I leave the office so I don't stress and wonder, as well as serve as a review before my next appointment.
If you have a family member who can attend the appointment with you and scribe, that's fantastic as it allows you to more easily focus on the discussion.
My husband scribes for me and he is also like a second set of ears which has been great.
Just a few thoughts..see what your new doctor has to say and expect that he/ she will also do their own set of tests.
Please reach back and let us all know the outcome of this great move on your part.
One of us will always reach back. You are among friends.

Unfortunately some Doctors do not consider a eGFR in 60's is an issue, and do not take the time to explain bloodwork out of range. Here is link to information explaining eGFR and CKD levels. kidney.org/atoz/content/gfr
