Hello, everyone! I’ve read the research that Chitosan can really help decreasing creatinine levels. Has anyone tried it? What were results?

I’ve read that it significantly lowers creatinine

I have not tried but plan to now that I have Googled it and found a lot of good information about it. The NIH has published articles about it touting the benefits some of which include lowering creatinine levels as well as cholesterol and triglycerides. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/925...

Yeah, I’ve found this research too, but this one is the only one! Some doctors say it won’t work so I’m in doubt

A lot of doctors live by the rule that if it isn't approved by the FDA (US) then it doesn't work. They don't believe in supplements. It takes away from big pharma!

I have started using chitosan. On my first monthly blood test, my serum creatinine reduced by 0.1. I am taking the maximum dosage recommended by the company selling the product. I shall continue checking my blood tests monthly. While I am thrilled that it seems to work, I am worried by a report that it increases the chances of having kidney stones. Another concern is the claim that chitosan can accumulate in the kidneys.
