Good News at last!

I had a phonecall from my heart failure nurse today and my GFR has gone from 25 to 29.5 that means I'm only .5 away from going up to stage 3 I think. Ive had no meds as have not had an ultrasound yet so its all diet and a tiny adjustment on my diuretics. What a relief!

Enjoy the increase in your GFR. Don't get too high or too low with that number. Track your average over time and as that increases so will your average. An increase is always better than a decrease but remember that it's only a snapshot of the day and time of the draw. Continued success.

good news helps us with our commitment to a kidney friendly lifestyle. My nephrologist told me that the 24 hour urine sample was the prime indicator and that creatinine and eGfr are less reliable
