How long does the sorness go away after the graph is put in the arm my arm is sore swollen a lot rather was in the hospital im ok start dialysis tomorrow im not scared cause ive experience it first hand in the hospital it took a lil while for it to go down but its went down some

The soreness should be minimal and lessen each day. If your swelling is concerning elevate the arm on several pillows. I use 4-5 depending on size. This should help considerably. It is a graft not a graph. They shouldn't be using your graft for dialysis for a few weeks as it needs to heal and mature a bit prior to use. Wishing you well. Blessings

I'm CKD 4 (not on dialysis). Just went to the web site recommended by OrangeCity41 and saw three videos. The one you might want to watch is an 8-minute You Tube featuring an engineer at a TED event speaking on how "one size does not fit all." He addresses how vein failure can result in death. He evaluates hemodialysis patients on their optimal flow rates... enough to get the job done, but not enough to thicken and shut down the vein. This is unique for each individual.
