47 yr old Male here stage 2 CKD,

I have put together a historical list of my lab results since 2016 and would like to hear everyone's thoughts of these results. I've never had any blood or protein in my urine, no high blood pressure, and no diabetes. My doc has yet to determine why I've lost some kidney function. I do strenuous strength training workouts 3 to 4 times a week lifting weights and have a muscular build. Below is my data lab results:

6 June 2016 -

eGFR: 66

Creatinine: 1.3 (ref. range 0.7 - 1.5)

BUN: 19 (ref. range 8-23)

18 July 2017 -

eGFR: 60

Creatinine: 1.41 (ref. range 0.76 - 1.27)

BUN/creatinine ratio: 11 (ref. range 9 - 20)

6 Feb 2018 -

EGFR: 68

Creatinine: 1.26 (ref. range 0.76-1.27)

BUN/creatinine ratio: 11 (ref. range 9 - 20)

3 Aug 2018 -

eGFR: 60

Creatinine: 1.39 (ref. range 0.76-1.27)

BUN/Creatinine ratio: 11

4 Feb 2019 -

eGFR: 64

Creatinine: 1.32 (ref. range 0.76-1.27)

BUN/creatinine ratio: 11 (9-20)

Hi Reid,

We do not interpret labs. Only your doctor should do that for you because it needs a holistic picture.Things like how hydrated your are or lots of exercise before your lab can change the numbers.

Here is a link to help you understand but please talk to your doctor about your concerns.
