I just received my lab results. The values are following :

——————————————————————————

Proteinurie : 91 mg/lt ( normal range : 0-120)

**Proteinurie/24h : 273 mg / 24h ( normal range : 42-225)

Volum urinar : 3000 ml

————————————————————————

ACR : 0.0029 mg alb / mg creat ( normal 0.03 ) It was from spot urine sample

Microalbuminurie : 3 mg/lt ( normal range : 0-20)

Microalbuminurie/24h : 9 mg / 24 h ( normal range : 0-30)

Volum urinar : 3000 ml

————————————————————————

Previous Blood Work

Creatinina : 0.78 mg/dl ( normal range : 0.6 - 1.4)

Uric Acid : 7.6 mg/dl ( normal range : 3.5 - 8.5)

————————————————————————

My (Proteinurie/24h) value marked with ** exceeds normal range

Test was made on 24h urine sample

My appointment with my neph is next week.

I am confused. If I have elevated protein in my urine sample, my Microalbuminuria vaues shouldnt be high also?

Yes I would've expected microalbumin to be high also. Your 24h urine fig is similar to my mum's latest at 0.26g but her urine microalbumin was also high at 72.5mcg/ml. Her nephro is unconcerned with these

What is your eGFR?

My egfr is 111. I calculated it using NKF’s egfr calculator.

Microalbumin data is often used to determine whether very tiny proteins are being leaked which is often the situation with diabetes and/or high blood pressure. (Often, diabetes also produces that high blood pressure.) So, you're apparently doing an amazing job in controlling your diabetes and also blood pressure. Wish my hubby had done that. Overall, in my opinion, you're doing very well!
