What is everyone's favourite new food?

As in, I'm sure everyone has had to do lots of adjusting and trying new things out to fit within the diet restrictions.

What 'new' food have you found that you really love and is great for your new diet?

For me its got to be prawns and no added sugar cranberry juice. Not together, obviously.

Innocent Veg Pots for me, fantastically tasting, less than 300 calories, fill you up and I think they count toward either 2 or 3 of your 5 a day.

I really like the stir-fries - usually chicken with lots of vegetables and some noodles. I also like sushi, which seems filling and not very calorific. I really enjoy the low fat chocolate mousses (M&S make a really good one from Belgian chocolate and I think it's about 90 calories for the pot). I often have one of those as a dessert in the evening. I also enjoy fruit and nuts for snacks, as they are nutritious and filling, and help with any sugar cravings.

Surprisingly - onions! I would never eat anything with onion in it before I started trying to lose weight, now I put them in just about everything I cook. I also use a lot more spices and had to buy a huge spice rack to accomodate all the jars. Drinks wise I would say green tea (the flavoured kind - orange, lemon etc).

I purchased a soup maker about four weeks ago. Now we have fresh home made soup every day for lunch. Depending on the type, I make, it can be a low as thirty five kcals per serving. Great for those times when you are eating out, and need to save those calories.
