Went to Oswestry RJAH hospital yesterday and finally got positive diagnosis on a dodgy left knee. Am going in for surgery 5 October to remove damaged cartilage.

All at sixes & sevens at moment, but pleased with outcome of visit

That's something positive to know your knee will be sorted and over time you can build up your walking and strength in it.

At last I have a positive weight loss, 87.9kg this morning. Hurrah!

Thanks a million, all of you, for your good vibes. Got a good one of my own this morning, and a recipe, first things first! 87.9kg this morning. Whoohoo! Second, recipe. Get. Steak mince, put in ovenproof dish, put in and sprinkle over about 4 tablespoons cold water, 2 teaspoons chopped garlic and a fairly generous amount of gravy granules, cover with Sainsbury's sweet potato mash, fork up and sprinkle with Panko breadcrumbs, put in oven at 170-180c for about 45 minutes. According to how much mince you have(I did it with 1/2 lb mince, )cook throughout and when ready, enjoy!

That sounds really nice, though I would stick with regular potatoes (or maybe squash would work) as I just don't like the sweet variety!

Thanks, pre op next Tuesday and according to them, I will be kept in overnight after my op
