Newbie - Easter choc (shock!!!)

Hi Everyone!

This is my first ever post for anything!!!! Daunted and excited!!!

Anyway am newbie whose weight is ever creeping upwards and am petrified that the allure of all the lovely chocolate over Easter is going to send me not only into sugar high/overdose but ultimately the bathroom scales are going to go into meltdown.

Am a martyr to the cause of dieting. I know what I should and shouldn't be doing but just can't stick to any kind of plan due to lack of willpower.

Any useful suggestions to get me through Easter period first then I'll concentrate on tackling long term weight loss? :)

Hi, welcome. Do you need to have chocolate around you? If it is the house for other people then tell yourself it isn't yours. Maybe decide how much you are going to eat and put that in a box. Then only eat that. You can do this!!

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply! You've made a good point - I'll tell myself that it's for my DS and DD and see if that'll keep me away!

You're right I can do this and will!

Happy Easter everyone!

Hi Haha46

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

Hello and welcome Hidden

Instead of telling yourself you have no will power, why not focus on the positives, all the lovely food you can eat? Plan some lower calorie tasty meals. If you read the suggestions Rose made, check your BMI and target calories, and try to get out of the mentality of deprivation. Think of it as a pro-active choice, choose to be slimmer and healthier 😊

Best wishes

I think its best not to worry too much about Easter it's like Christmas food wise and we all deserve treats The chocolate will soon be gone and then you can get back to the healthy eating If it's really bothering you just restrict yourself to a little bit every day and factor it in with your calories

Don't be daunted you will love posting the people on this forum are so lovely and you will soon feel amongst friends

Enjoy Easter it's only once a year and then it's back on track for a lovely slim gorgeous you for the summer ❤️
