Changing my mindset

Changing my mindset

I used to be over 24 stone. My scales only went to 20 and the needle always went way beyond that. My dad told me I needed to change my diet and I was adamant that two packets of instant noodles and 4 slices of toast was way below my calorific needs.

I have been on crutches suffering with CRPS since October 2014. I met my boyfriend in June 2015 and he is a very active person. He eats fairly well and likes to walk. I used to get a taxi half a mile to the supermarket because I was sure I couldn't manage the walk on crutches. But I started walking. Started eating a bit better. More exercise and less crap food! I changed my mindset about my body, my diet and my lifestyle.

  • Wow well done you look amazing ..it's the best feeling specially when you look in the mirror and think is that really me looking back ..well it is for me I've always struggled with my weight but this time round every since joining this forum it's been different always someone there with a helping hand and advice . My goal is to be under 12 stone ideally about 11St 8 so if I fall of the wagon I can sort myself out! !so about another 1st and half for me I know this is going to be the hardest part slowly but I'm more determined to achieve this for me, good luck with the rest of your weight loss I'm sure your not finished yet you too seem very determined πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

  • Thank you :-)

I'm stuck at 13 stone now. Mainly because I'm not working anymore and my CRPS is getting worse so I'm usually in too much pain to move. But exercise is important when it comes to chronic pain as well so I've got to get my arse in gear.

I slipped on a man-hole cover the other day and landed on my bum.. sooooo glad I'm not 24 stone anymore cos that would have really hurt!

  • Hi Sammi. You look lovely in your latest photo. I had to google what your condition is and it made difficult reading. It reinforces how well you have done under trying circumstances. Well done and congratulations. Xx

Fingers crossed I can copy you and get rid of my last few surplus pounds this year!
