Hi everyone I'm knew here and need to lose weight desperately. When I was about 15 I lost about 5 stone so I know I have got it in me. My mum died when I was 21 and I've gradually put weight on now I'm 30 and need to get fit. I'm just after some advice and support if possible. Many thanks Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
I am so sorry to hear your Mum died when you were 21 years old. I can see that you've lost weight before, as you mentioned losing 5 stone when you were 15 years of age - that was quite an achievement. Well done.
Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum, and I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community. Please have a look at our Pinned posts area, and in particular the Welcome Newbie post - and the NHS 12 week plan is really good.
We have a weekly weigh-in, which is on Mondays, and so the next session will be tomorrow - it goes on all day, so please join us, if you'd like to participate. You'd be very welcome and it's a supportive group.
Hope you have a great week and good luck with your weight loss goals.

Hi shaycox just wanted to say welcome you've come to the right place to get lots of help and encouragement if you read the pinned posts to the right of your screen or bottom if you are on a mobile you will find lots of help and advice so good luck with your weight loss journey
Hi and welcome I have no doubt you can do this as you have before others have advised you and pointed you in the right direction . I am re doing the 12 week plan as I too have a lot to loose but getting there. Look at the winter Equinox challenge lots of us are having a go at hat it gives you a goal to aim for and doesn't start till next week. I would get a fit bit or other fitness tracker to log calories, water, steps etc or some people on here download myfitnesspal as it is free.
Good luck keep posting how you are getting on and shout out if help is needed.
Best wishes Bev
