Understanding MFP app

Hi Everyone,

Even though I have used this app since October, today I have been informed doing it wrong.

Gym manager set it at 1200 cals (was 10st 3lb, bmi 24, height 5ft). Then steps work out an extra 300 cals on a good day.

I have not been including my gym workouts thinking that it would count for my 500 cal deficiate. Many a time the remaining cals states 100 cals left.

But a trainer mentioned that the 500 cals def has already been removed so therefore not eating enough (everything bare my tummy is nearly gone but tummy not moving)

Is he correct?
