Hi all, after weighing myself as usual this AM I am pleased to say I have lost 1.5 pounds this week.  This seems to be the normal loss now between 1 & 1.5 pounds a week for me.  Im not complaining but very happy.   This 1or 2 pound weight loss weekly seems to be very average.  At first when I started N.H.S. weight loss I wanted to speed up my weight loss as I didn't think a miserable 1or 2 pounds was much  to lose each week. Can I just say to all those who perhaps have thought much the same as me and struggling with a need to lose more on a  weekly basis, that any weight loss is a big achievement, small or large.  Remember it doesn't really matter how long it takes you never give up as its all worth it, as those pounds turn into stones one day. When I feel a little low or crave for something naughty, which is not so often now, I come to this web site and read all the positive and  inspirational threads, and for me that has been a massive input.  By the time I digest all the ideas and goals everyone is writing about Ive forgotten I wanted that cake, or biscuit.  So I just thought I would like to share my thoughts with you all and hope that just maybe this could be an input for others. Because of my weight loss I am able to enjoy my exercise without puffing and panting now. This has definitely helped me lose weight.  I took the bike out and managed a 10 mile and a 14 mile bike ride, and really enjoyed it.  So continue to be positive no matter how long it takes.  Have a happy and successful week.

That's the way to do it!  Well done Fruitspangle...

The other advantage of being patient and losing weight gradually over several months is that it allows time for the skin to keep its elasticity and tone as you reduce in size.

Hi fruitspangle, I lost a lot in my first week but I think you're right and I realise I will start losing 1 or 2lb which is a safe loss weekly. I'm looking forward to not getting out of breath...I ran across the airport yesterday on way home from hols and was exhausted. I'm glad you log in here for inspiration, it helps me too. Well done on all the exercise you're doing. Keep at it! x

Hi Fruitspangle,

You are losing weight at a really good rate - safe and steady, and that is brilliant!  Like you say, the pounds all add up and before you know it a stone has gone!

Great that you've enjoyed your bike ride - that's a lot of miles!

Enjoy the weekend and the week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Well done @fruitspangle 😊
