Hi everyone,

This Monday group weigh-in session is run by the Fab 5'ers: Prin, Suzybenj, Ruth_Canal_Runner, Moreless, and myself, Lowcal. If you weigh-in with us, then one or more of us will respond to you at some point. Please be patient though, as we do have other commitments, but we will ensure that everyone receives a reply.

I’ll kick off with my weigh-in results: Last Monday I was 12 stone 13 pounds, and today I weigh: 13 stone 0.8 pound, so I've gained 1.8 pound this week . I’ve had a city break in London, and so I over-indulged here and there, but tried to compensate by walking around and sight-seeing, which was really enjoyable. This week I hope to be back on track again - in terms of cutting back on any over-indulgences, and hopefully getting to the gym a couple of times too. I would like to get back into the 12's for next Monday's weigh-in, so that is my goal for this week. I hope to lose 2 pounds, if I can.

I have done the weekly stats this week, and they make great reading:

Total people posting on last Monday's thread: 128.

Total overall weight lost: 113.05 pounds (51.28 kilos).

Total people who lost weight: 66 (134.39 pounds lost) (60.96 kilos).

Total people who gained weight: 16 (21.34 pounds gained) (9.68 kilos).

Total people who maintained their weight: 14.

Total people starting out on their weight loss journey/plan: 25.

Total people who didn't disclose their weight gain/loss: 7.

Note for Newbies:

If you are joining this weigh-in group thread for the first time today, then welcome. Just introduce yourself and share your starting weight (if you feel comfortable to do so) and your initial weight loss goals – setting yourself mini-goals leading to your ultimate weight loss goal is particularly helpful. You could also make a note of your body measurements – sometimes the scales stick at a particular weight, but there can be body measurement changes which are very motivating. It’s not all about the scales afterall – it’s how you feel in yourself.

You can always refer to previous weigh-in threads if you want to see what other people typically post (just click on my profile, Lowcal, and you’ll be able to see a list of all previous posts which are all clearly dated).

Also, if you’ve not already seen it, then take a moment to read the ‘Welcome Newbie’ pack which is a Pinned post (situated on right hand side of homepage) which has been collated by Fab 5’er Moreless.

N.B. The Afternoon/Evening Session will be posted at approx midday – and it has been posted today at 11.50am, so a little earlier than normal:

Wishing you all a great weigh-in!

Good morning Lowcal you got a very early start today,I hope you had a great break. You did really well not to gain too much.

Last week I was 88.6kilos, this morning I am 87.3kilos. That is by far my largest ever weekly loss and after 12 weeks of no progress it is the fourth week in a run I have lost weight.

The difference I think has been adding a spinning class to my weekly gym routines, not eating after 19pm and fasting one day a week. All this has made me less hungry, improved my daily cycling and energy levels and my injured leg is much stronger so more walking is possible. The Round the World Challenge has been great for me. 😀

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toGonti

Morning Gonti,

Yes, it was a lovely break thanks, and I'm ok with the gain - like you say, it wasn't too much considering it was a holiday.

Congratulations to you for losing 1.3kgs this week, that is brilliant! :-) Great to hear it's the 4th week in a run that you've lost weight, and it's very impressive that you've lost so much in one week - quite unusual really! That spinning class has obviously made a difference, and I hope you're enjoying it. Great that you're not eating after 19 00, and I hope the fasting day is going ok too.

You have listed some very positive results - in terms of your fitness levels and it's so great that your injured leg is feeling a lot stronger so you can cope with more walking.

I agree that the Around the World Challenge is an incredible motivator. (If anyone is reading this, and doesn't know what that is, then look out for Fizzyliz's posts, and I would definitely recommend getting involved in that Challenge as it's great fun).

Wishing you another great week ahead Gonti. You're doing really well. :-)

Good morning glad to hear you enjoyed your city break x this week I've lost 1 lb so now 11st 5 which is ok but disappointed because I was 11.3 on Wednesday?? Anyway will keep chipping away towards my goal of 9st 6 x have a good week everyone x

Hi Claire31,

Good morning, and thanks for your kind words.

Congratulations to you for losing 1 pound this week. I know you are a bit disappointed, as you had lost more on Wednesday, but weight does tend to fluctuate during the week. You might have a larger loss next week as a result. 1 pound is an excellent loss - so be proud of that! :-)

Wishing you another great week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Maybe your scales fluctuate? Sometimes you feel encouraged (like on Weds) and sometimes you think EH!!?

If it's any comfort the same happens to me, but the general direction is good!

Hi Gill3000,

Congratulations on losing 0.2kg - and glad you're also feeling as if you've lost weight, as you have! You're on the 'onwards and downwards' trend, and that is great!

Hope you have a great week ahead.

Check your waist, hip and upper arm measurements. You may well have lost fat even if that does not show up on the scales yet.

Woo hoo hoo sorry to be excited but I'm in the 10's. 10 st 12.6 lbs so that's a loss of 2.6 lbs this week and a total of 13.4 lbs in 7 weeks. I owe this to the forum and its support. Doing the around the world challenge with Fizzyliz has made a huge difference and upped my activity levels so much. Still sticking to 1400-1500 calories a day with no real probes. A huge thanks to everyone.

Almost a whole stone!

Great that you've found that Fizzyliz's Around the World Challenge has made a huge difference to your activity levels. I think that's such a great Challenge.

Your post is very inspiring Mimsta, and I hope you have another great week ahead. Enjoy those 10's...!!!!

Morning! Glad you had a great city break! 😊 well done on keeping the gain as low too.

This week i am 11st 2. 3lbs.

That is a loss of 2.4 pounds (so almost 2. 5?! ) since Monday 8th, so over 2 weeks when I was 11 04. 7.

I am very pleased, although like Claire I was 11 01 in the week! Still, hopefully that bodes well for next week! And the 10s are getting ever closer!

Don't forget the strength work Lowcal! I have spent too long catching up on here to do this morning, so will do this evening instead.

Have great days and weeks everyone. 😊

That's a fantastic loss Asics, well done you! :) Here's to those terrific 10's :)

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toasics

Hi Asics,

Thanks very much - I did enjoy my break very much. :-)

Wow, you've lost 2.4 pounds this week, that is fantastic! :-) We'll have to take 1 week's loss though, so for the stats I will divide that by 2 (hope that's ok) - making it 1.2 pound loss for this week. Really great progress. :-)

I think you're right, the fact you were 11 stone 1 pound during the week does bode well for next week's result. Hopefully it will be reflected then. You're on the 'onwards and downwards' trend, and that's the main thing.

Thanks for your reminder about the strength work - I admit I haven't done any yet, despite saying to you that I would do it yesterday afternoon. So I must be good and get back to it. I really will try to do it on 6 out of 7 days this week - that is my pledge!

Wishing you a great day and a good week ahead.

Well I have done my strength exercises! I did them during the ad break!

I also got my fitbit weekly update my highest weekly weight on it was 11 0 2 and the lightest 11 01 - that did make lovely reading!!

Onwards and downwards as you say! x

Hi Asics,

Well done! I wish I could say the same, I am very naughty as I didn't do my strength exercises still - even though I pledged to you that I would. I'm just going to bed now, but I will get back on track with the exercise side of things tomorrow, all being well.

Great that you enjoyed updating your new weight readings on your fitbit - very satisfying!

Here's to an onwards and downwards trend.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have gained a pound this week. I know why. Not taking enough note of my calories. Main reason being I know they are too high! Back on track this week.

Last week: 11st 11llbs

This week: 11st 12lbs

Good luck everyone. I will enjoy reading everyone's posts as I travel to work.

I am glad you had a lovely time in London lowcal. You put on less than 2lbs so I would say that is a result. I am sure you will lose that or most of it this week.

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toAlisonayb

Hi Alison,

We only need to drop our guard slightly for the scales to remind us cruelly. Not to worry though, because you know exactly what to do to rectify the matter and by next monday, that pesky pound will be gone for good and will probably be taking a mate with it! :)

Have a great week! :)

Hi I'm sure you will be back on track for next week, good luck. This week I weigh 11st 8lb so I have gained 2.25lbs this week. Not good but at least I know why. Finding it very hard to get back to losing this last stone that I need to shed. I have printed off the weight lose sheet from week 1 to 12 again and hope that this will get me back on track.

I'm sure that getting on board with the 12 week plan will get you right back on track summer. It's great for giving you step-by-step instructions and keeping you on the straight and narrow :)

Read today's posts for motivation and inspiration, join Sueper's Easter Bunny challenge to keep you on track and join FizzyLiz's Around the World challenge to get you motivated to move.

That last stone of yours will soon be a thing of the past :)

I am gobsmacked! We all know that horrible thing when we have a sneaky peek at our weight over the weekend and then get disappointed on Monday when there is an unexpected jump up on the scales. Well for the first time today the opposite happened!

I had a fantastic break in Devon staying with friends and was not therefore in my usual control of my intake. I decided to relax and go with the flow, this included fish and chips, much wine, a fry up brunch and significant for me (normally no sugar) dessert on two days plus lots more good food as my friends hubby is a real foodie and an excellent chef!.

I was active with some lovely walks.

Last week 54.6kg. Fearing the worst I stepped on the scales yesterday and it was 55kg. In view of my consumption this week I was delighted it wasn't more. This morning I weighed again and was 54.3kg. So still in my 53-55kg maintenance band with a minor loss of 0.3kg on last week !!!!!

I was back in control yesterday and ate modestly but didn't deny myself.

Lowcal, take heart your small gain will probably evaporate once back to normal routine.

All the best to my weigh in buddies x

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply to2bFabnfit

Oh yes 2beFabnfit! Now yours is the type of body I want! :D Maybe somewhere in the distant future I won't gain a pound if I smell chocolate :D

I think sometimes though, our bodies appreciate a bit of a blow-out and are quite relieved not to have to hold onto any ounce of fat they can find ;)

Well done you for being so clever :)

Amazing news already this morning, well done all. Even those who have gained,it'a a lifestyle change so there are bound to be gains and losses. Sure we'll see negative numbers next week :)

Start weight: 12st 2.2lb

Week 1: 11st13.2lb

Week 2: 11st 10.6lb

Week 3: 11st 9.4lb

Week 4: 11st 12.2lb

Week 5: 11st 11lb

Week 6: 11st 7.8

Week 7: 11st 5.4

That's a loss of 2.4 lbs - and a total of 10.8lbs.

Ran my first half marathon of the year yesterday. 2:04 very chuffed. Only 3lbs of the lowest weight I can remember being since a before I was 15!

Happy Monday everyone!

Hi Suzybenj, I've been in the same boat time and time again. Its how you react to it that's important. You sound pretty determined to me so I have no doubt you'll be getting closer to that target next week!

Thank-you, training for Brighton Marathon so need to get the runs in. Want to do better than my 4:40 last year. You look like a keen runner too - what run have you just done in your photo?

suzymac profile image

Great news Steph. I like the way you say your 'first half marathon of the year' sounds like you are planning some more? I'm tracking your weight now as I too was 11 st 5.4 this Monday ( week 5) I'm going to use your example to motivate me as I have had a week off.

I am talking to a friend about doing a mini triathlon in June, my first ever if I manage it. I have watched my husband do two Iron Man competitions which I find mind blowing but I think I could manage a little one. Swim in open water 750m, 23k on bike and 5k run. I am going to sign up this week, game on!!

Stephb profile image

Thanks Suzymac...yeah running a marathon in April so got to get as many runs as I can squeeze in. Ah I'll have to follow your progress to. Do you have a target?

Ah where is that? I've always wanted to do one!! Iron Mans are crazy - congrats to your husband for completing them!

GOOD LUCK :)

suzymac profile image

Hi Stephb, Loch Awe , which is on west coast of Scotland, which is part of the reason I'm still 'thinking about it' I live in Edinburgh.

My target is 9st 7. I'm 5ft 5" and last weighed that in 2001 after my third child, had a fourth 9 years ago and drifted up since then. Into my 50's now so need to reach some other milestones besides my age!!

Which marathon in April? I find such distance daunting.

Good luck Smiley face ( don't know how to do them!)

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks partly because I've increased from 68.4 to 68.9 so half a kilo up. And partly because that makes me feel very down. No excuses - I've been eating too much and the wrong things and not exercising enough.

At the moment I feel like a hopeless case. I need to lose weight for my health so why can't I just do it?!!

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply to

I think when you lose your way Ceriandblue, your instinct is to retreat, when the best thing to do, is just what you've done today, you've come out of the closet and faced up to reality :)

This forum works, because we're able to be open and honest with each other, in a totally safe and anonymous way. You can tell us anything and it won't cause pain, or embarrassment, in fact just the opposite. We can help, because, chances are, we've been in exactly the same place as you.

Take everything back to basics. Weigh and measure all your food. Keep a food diary. Log on daily for support. Join FizzyLiz's Around the World challenge for motivation to move. Join Sueper's Easter Bunny challenge and publicly declare a goal. Find a daily pledge thread and pledge to do one thing, for one day.

You can do this and we can help! :)

Onwards and downwards! :)

Alisonayb profile image
Alisonayb in reply to

I agree with moreless Ceriandblue. We are human. We make mistakes, we take our eye off the ball, we slip into old habits. It happens. I have come to realise, I think, that the hardest part is not necessarily sticking to a diet but forgiving ourselves when we trip up in what we want to achieve and putting it behind us to move on. They are going to happen and once we accept that we should be less stressed about what we are trying to achieve.

You will read lots of posts on this forum of people who have not kept on plan. I didn't last week and what happens? A gain. Of course I am disappointed but if I am going to achieve my ultimate goal I can't dwell on it. I have to forget it and put it behind me. That is hard. It is going to be easy to track and note the calories in my food because I know what to do. It will be harder putting the negative feeling of having gained behind me but I have work to distract me so will be letting that do so.

Come on, pick yourself up, dust off those knees and get back to basics as moreless says. You know you can do it. What you can't do is do it without the odd trip - just like the rest of us!

Have a good day today and let us know how you get on.

WeightWarrior profile image
WeightWarrior in reply to

So glad that you decided to post today. There's no judgement here, just support when you need it. If weight loss was that easy, then there would be no reason for this forum to exist! We all feel your pain, we have all been there in some way or another, we all have blips because we are all human. I hope our encouragement helps you to get back on the wagon and not beat yourself up about this slight gain. That used to be my problem, and then I would comfort eat and give up completely. Now I try to always think of the long term goal. Ok, so you've had a small gain. You know why and you know how to turn it around. Try to do a bit of planning on what exactly you will be eating for the week ahead, maybe some easy, quick to prepare meals and some which take longer. Allow for the possibility of swapping them around if life gets in the way so that if you are pushed for time, you have quick meals you can prepare within your calorie range. You can do it, you CAN lose it again and even if it takes you three weeks with a tiny bit higher calories to lose it, maybe due to planned snacks etc, it is better that than being too strict with yourself and not being able to stick to it then having a binge because you are hungry. You'll be rid of that weight in no time...hop back on the wagon with us because we're all going on a fab journey, let's enjoy the ride eh! :-)

I've been putting off posting, because I feel so shamefaced. Last week I was cock-a-hoop because I'd reached my 4st mark and sadly this week I'm having to report a gain of 1.5lbs :(

In my defence, it's not due to over-eating, I think it's due to a downward blip on the scales last week and I hadn't really earned a 5lb loss. On the bright side, 3.5lbs lost in a fortnight is actually pretty darned good! :)

So, it's onwards and downwards for me! :)

Good luck everyone :)

Hi Moreless (wonderful Fab 5'er),

I agree completely with Suzy, you have no reason whatsoever to feel 'shame-faced' - so take that face off and put on the 'feeling proud' face - because you should be amazingly proud of all your really great progress - remember that you lost 5 whole pounds last week, just in one week - and your overall weight loss is (as Suzy rightly says) 'IMPRESSIVE'.

You gained 1.5 pound this week, but with your 5 pound loss from last week, that means that over the past 2 weeks you actually lost 3.5 pounds, which is very nearly 2 pounds per week, which as you know is the upper end of the 1 to 2 pound weight loss recommended for healthy weight loss.

You are doing brilliantly - you are amazing, and we are all behind you - just as you are behind each and every one of us.

Wow, Moreless, you rock! :-)

Like you say, 3.5 pounds loss in a fortnight is 'pretty darned good' - I'm so glad you said that, because it's true. I had only read your first part of your post when I wrote the above, so I can see we are on the same page in terms of reflecting on your success.

Here's to another great week ahead for all of us. Wishing you a wonderful week Moreless.

No need to be shame-faced, Moreless, it does sound like the scales had a blip last week and you haven't gained at all. Your overall weight loss is still really good and your increase in fitness is amazing.

I hope the scales behave themselves next week!

No shame here, just humanity! Remember all the good advice you have given others in the same boat - you KNOW it will come back off, it's just one of those irritating blips. Sometimes the scales don't show us a reward for our hard work and there is literally no fathomable reason why. Scales can be like that - ask MarmiteRehoming about it lol!

Better luck for next week, I hope those scales show the reality of your hard work instead of playing nasty tricks on you. Sending virtual hugs to you xx

Dear Lowcal

I guess you need to rejoice at the fact that you did not pile up more weight than that after a nice break. And we will be cheering you next week when you get back into the 12s hopefully !

Good results from many people this morning! I love reading how everyone else is doing and hearing good news!!

I was 72.6kg last week (160lbs) and 71.9kg this morning (158.5 lbs) which means I have lost 1.5lbs this week. I am very happy with this result because I was still waiting for some sort of compensation for having lost 4 pounds in a week two weeks ago, but last week I lost 1 pound something and this week too!! I am loving this downward trend! My total loss since September is now 37.5lbs so that's 2.6 stones! My BMI as of this morning is 25.4 (from 32.5 in September) !! I am now getting closer and closer to my Healthy weight range which is just incredible. What a journey!!!

Also this week I have really upped my activity again in the hope of beating last week's average for the "Around the world challenge" and I think I should have as I have had two days with lots of kilometers (although I had some slow days so I don't know..). Either way it is nice to be motivated in that way.

This Saturday I had an event whereby I invited some friends who normally live abroad, and I invited some local friends to meet them. I prepared so much food alll weekend but my bigger losses were over the weekend! I did not eat as much as I thought I would, and I was so happy to eat some of my old favourites things without going over my calorie limit at all. It was really nice. The recipes from Hairy dieters went down a treat I am absolutely loving their books. I know I mentioned it before but honestly I am nowhere near finished with these books and they are absolutely great. I am not doing new recipes for now as I am too busy redoing some that I tried last week as I love them so much!!!

This week again neighbours and friends stopping me and asking me what I have done! One lady even asked me how much did I pay for a weight loss programme that works so well!! I said I didn't pay anything and I just went online and downloaded the 12-week programme and that was it. She was gobsmacked. I think that so many people think there must be some sort of secret to weight loss that you need to pay hundreds of pounds for, or that you need to suffer so much to get to. But when you realise it boils down to making healthier choices and keeping a strong will and motivation, it suddenly seems even more scary to them! So many people around me are overweight and say they would love to lose weight but for most of them they are coming up with excuses as to why they are not losing weight. I was like that too. I kept expecting the miraculous diet that would change everything in my life, but then I realised I was the one with all the keys to solve my own problem. Daunting. And when you try to explain to others they find other reasons. "You're still young that's why it comes off so easily" (well I am not sooo young, I'm past 36 and I have been obese for many years!) "Oh you have a treadmill that's why" well you can run outside and not just that but the diet is the main component not necessarily the exercise, although I admit it helps a lot. "I love my cakes too much" I love them too but I have swapped recipes for healthier alternatives like from the book "Chocolate covered Katie" which I really recommend to everyone. You name it. "dieting is too hard" actually it is not and you should never feel hungry so try and there is nothing to lose. But the weight.

I do not like to judge people too harshly and I believe a couple of my friends might actually have serious conditions which explain the weight loss issues , but for the vast majority of the other ones it looks to me that it is education on food that they need, more than anything else. And all of this I got from reading in the NHS website and this forum so it is definitely achievable.

If I have done it after having been unfit and fat for so long, then that means almost pretty much everyone could do it. Really.

Seeing you all very soon!

N.

Hi Nussaybah,

Wow, what an inspiring post - Congratulations on achieving a total weight loss of 2.6 stones (37.5 pounds) since September. That is amazing progress. You've lost 1.5 pound this week, that is brilliant! Really well done. You're so close now to your healthy BMI range - at 25.4 - maybe next week you'll be there, all being well.

Great that you've enjoyed upping your activity levels, and that the Around the World Challenge has been helpful - it really motivates me to do more as well, it is really good!

I really enjoyed reading your post, and it's so great to hear that you've been inspiring your neighbours and friends to think about losing weight as well - in order to become fitter and healthier. Really great!

Wishing you another great week ahead.

Thank you Lowcal for your supportive words . I did weigh every day and I believe it has helped me a lot. I did say I did not know for how long I could carry on doing that but actually it is not that hard and I believe this might have explained why I did not slip after my big 4 pound loss two weeks ago. As I am watching my weight so closely. I am still learning about my body so weighing in daily helps me try to understand the effect of certain foods on myself although I appreciate results are not always that quick, but it does help me I'm sure. Thanks for the tip :).

...Morning - feeling very bleary this morning - getting ready (slowly) for work.....

As StephB put it - i have had a lifestyle change this week - a week of all inclusive holiday. I wouldn't have said i went crazy and I did plenty of walking and swimming. Alas it was not enough to compensate for the calories consumed.....

....6.25 pounds gained - flipping heck (but it is a 1.25 less than yesterday -phew pleased not to be reporting over half stone gain). So back on the wagon- I am trying not to wail about the unfairness of the speed of gain compared to slowness of losing weight. whats done is done - and i will just look fwd.....still aiming to lose a stone by easter- that will take some doing - but here goes - diving in :-)

BTW - well done LC - on keeping a grip - I am sure you will tip toe back to the 12s. And super well done to all the losers here this morning:-)

Good luck for next week everyone- onwards and downwards:-)

Hi Suzybenj (lovely Fab 5'er),

Glad you enjoyed your all inclusive week's holiday, and that you did plenty of walking and swimming - sounds lovely!

I know you've gained 6.25 pounds, but you've already lost 1.25 pound since yesterday, so at that rate, your excess will be gone in no time, and you're back on the wagon now. Speed of gain versus slowness of losing doesn't seem fair does it?!

You're right to look forward, because you can still lose that stone by Easter - all being well. You're diving in, and that's a great start!

I will do my best to tip toe back to the 12's, as I liked being there - albeit briefly last week.

I love your typo of 'supper well done' - food features there in my mind. :-)

Onwards and downwards.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

I think you've done very well Lowcal with your break in London not to have put more on ! You are only a tiny bit over your aim of being in the 12s, so hopefully with a good week this week, you will be back where you belong !! :-)

Half term week is always a bit difficult, with more trips out etc - so I am pleased that I've managed a 1.8lb loss this week - due in the main part to eating lots of veg over the weekend ! I did gets lots of kms in as well, so that probably helped.

Morning all! I didn't post last week; that time of the month and a plateau so licked my wounds and cracked on.

It's another 5lbs from me! :^) So, I've love 10lb over 3 weeks, and I'm ecstatic. I'm low-carbing Mon-Fri (emphasis on proptein rather than fat). So, lots of salad, eggs, cheese, a little quinoa and some convenience low carb-high protein bars. Yesterday I had a small slice of cake and a few cocktails over the wekend too! I noramlly am super-strict with myself so being a bit gentler may be the key to long term success? Aiming for another2-3lb next week please, but really want to get my steps up REGULARLY. At the moment I tend to go way over target several times a week (26K steps+) and that gives me an "excuse" not to reach my 10K everyday (which i didn't yesterday and I could have made more effort but didn't).

Anyway, thanks for having this site and page! It's inspiring!

Wishing you another great week ahead. I would anticipate your weight loss is likely to level off from now on - so don't be disappointed if you get smaller amounts from now on. Larger weight loss often happens at the start, but then usually comes down to between 1 and 2 pounds per week, but it does depend a lot on individual factors.

Hope you are enjoying the plan, and hope you enjoy another great week.

Lowcal :-)

in reply toZest

Thank you!

Yeah I actually thought it would level off after week 1. So 5lbs was a great surprise although I have been very active everyday this week with Couch25K, walking and Spin class.

I hope to keep within the 1-2lbs bracket each week so any thing over that is a bonus. Haven't had any chocolate, crisps, fizzy or beer for 3 weeks now :) :) And I am really enjoying preparing and eating ' real' foods!

Looking forward to Week 3!

Hi a2437,

Welcome to the Monday group weigh-in - really glad you decided to join us. Great that you're going to be starting the NHS 12 week plan, and hope you'll enjoy it. You want to lose 13kg, so maybe have a think about your short-term goals. You could also take your body measurements if you want to, as they can be quite motivating to see changes in those - as sometimes the scales don't budge, whereas the body changes.

You're sounding really enthusiastic and that's a great way to start out - hopefully you'll maintain that enthusiasm and really enjoy your weight loss journey. I would recommend also taking your body measurements (chest, waist, hips and any other measurements you personally want to make) as it can be motivating to see those changes - especially on occasions when the scales get stuck.

Morning - very disappointed put on - 74kg to 74.5. Started following 1400 calls last week, excerised done everything by the book. Was following a 1200 calorie diet before and told I wasn't eating enough. I wil persevere and hope for better results next week 🙂

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toSharon_Keys

Oh poop, Sharon! :o Don't give up though, because I'm sure it'll come good in the end. I too think that 1200 calories is too low and I suspect that your body is just so grateful for a few extra cals, that it's just hanging onto them, for fear of them not being replaced! :) Once it gets used to the fact that it's getting more, it'll relax and let go :)

Here's to a great week for you :)

Good morning everyone. Lowcal I've got no doubt you'll be back under 13 stone by next week, I'm sure the enjoyment of your well-deserved break was worth that tiny gain.

I've got a weird one this week - my first big gain - 4lbs up to 10st4. I know I haven't kept within my calories at all which definitely explains it. I stopped doing mfp - I think from today I'm restarting! But I did achieve my exercise goals - 3 cycle days and 2 runs, as well as some strength. So it goes to show exercise alone doesn't shift pounds, well not in this case anyway! I'm hoping for a rapid reversal over the next week or so. Happy weighings everyone!

Hi Ruth (lovely Fab 5'er),

Good morning! Yes, I have no regrets about my mini break in London, and I hope the small extra will soon be a thing of the past. Thanks for your encouraging words. :-)

Firstly, well done for achieving your exercise goals, and doing those 3 cycle days, 2 runs, and some strength exercises. I suspect you may have some water retention around your muscles etc due to the increase in the exercise - that would be my suggestion as to why you gained 4 pounds this week. I think it will soon come off rapidly, so you'll be able to enjoy a massive weight loss next week - that's my prediction, but I could be wrong of course. :-)

Don't be disheartened by it, it is a blip and will soon even out - I am sure of it! As long as you keep on track, you'll be fine.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

in reply toZest

Thanks - its weird to experience a big gain myself, but I've seen it happen on here a lot with people upping the exercise. Hopefully water retention explains it as I haven't eaten enough extra cals to explain the whole 4lbs gain! I'll just have to see what next week brings! And not dwell on a number - especially as its still a weight I'm happy to be - still 2 stone less than my starting point. So will try not to complain!

I just watched the BBC programme about what we should eat and it reassured me that I am eating a healthy diet doing this and getting my carbs from complex veg and fruit only is OK :) I think the sugar free jelly snacks is the key along with sugar free xylitol gum which is keeping my mouth surprisingly fresh.

Having watched the programme I am sticking with the skimmed milk and staying away from the almond milk, better calcium and nutrients in good old cows milk. Prior to diet starting I had moved to almond. I have also added seleniun because that is the mineral we are all missing these days because it has been depleted in the ground, so nothing natural we eat has it in at any useful level.

Onwards and downwards

:) Good luck everyone for another week full of losers ;)

Hi, I may be repeating myself on a thread, I am 57, pretty active but have gained weight over the last few years. Typical 'middle aged spread' yuck!! Have to do something about it. I am currently 13st 8 lbs, 5'7" not good. Overall aiming for 2 st loss long term, breaking it down to 1 lb a week for me. Starting today. Got the tracker and welcome support, especially about reducing snacking and portion sizes.

Hi Katy,

Welcome to the Monday group weigh-in. I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community and that you'll find our Monday group a supportive and friendly place. Thanks for sharing your starting weight today, I know that's a brave step, and hope it felt ok to do that. Hopefully today will be your highest weight, and you'll be looking forward to the 'onwards and downwards' trend from here on in. It can be good to take body measurements, as those can be very motivating on those occasions when the scales seem to stick (which they do sometimes!). Although we do focus on 'weight' - a necessary factor of a 'weigh-in' - we do acknowledge that it's not all about the scales, and that there are numerous other factors important - such as how we feel, the fit of our clothes, our body measurements etc.

Great that you've got the tracker and welcome support - I am presuming you've read Moreless's 'Welcome Newbie' thread - if not, then it's worth a read, and is in the Pinned posts section of the homepage.

Some of us use Myfitnesspal to help to keep a record of calories and exercise etc, as it is very easy to use.

Anyway, wishing you a great first week, and hope you enjoy the forum, and make the most of it.

Lowcal :-)

Well done Kath, that's a great result :)

You're much braver than me, performing in front of a TV camera! I'm sure I would have lost pounds, just with the uncontrollable shaking! ;)

I'm sure singing helps, because it's so uplifting and gives the feel good factor you get from exercising, but without the achyness afterwards! :D

Wishing you another great week and loads of luck with your performance :)

Good morning folks,

Today I have lost 0.1kg 😞

I'm pretty disappointed in this as I have been healthy eating all week and attained my target of at least 10kms per day.

Obviously I'll have to look at portion size.

Well, a loss is a loss so it's onward and downward. Looking for a good result next week.

Targets this week, 10kms per day, smaller portions and NO alcohol 👍

This morning the sun is shining.....for once so off to fetch the Bu for a nice walk.

Happy Monday everyone 😘

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toBu-dog

Don't be disappointed Bu-dog, it's all relative. I gained 1.5lbs after a week of healthy eating, no alcohol and averaging 18.5K's/day - I'd have been delighted with a 0.1kg loss! ;)

Next week we'll stun everyone with massive losses! :)

Onwards and downwards! :)

Ever the motivator Moreless, thank you. Just back from my doggie walk and forgot my pedometer so will have to work with the phone which is actually registering almost the same figures as the pedometer. So far, this mornings walk has clocked 10959steps, 6.15kms.

Off to a good start then 👍

Morning Lowcal and everyone!

Sorry to hear about your gain Lowcal. It is so frustrating how easy it is to gain a few pounds and how tough it is to lose them. :(

I am feeling disappointed this morning also. I have weighed in at 13st 1.4lbs which means I've put on 0.4lbs. Not a huge gain but I was really hoping to get into the 12's this week. Although I know where I have failed. I had a takeaway Friday and Saturday night! I was weak, I gave in to temptation... Not this week though. I am going to have a very good week. I need to shift some pounds!

Fingers crossed to everyone else being losers next week.

Sophie :)

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toArtsoru

Bad luck Sophie, but as you've said yourself, it's a minimal gain and you know the reason for it. A week of sticking to plan and you're bound to have a good loss and maybe you'll be into those 12's! :)

Best of luck! :)

This week was a gain of 3/4 lb. Up from 13 St. 3.75 lbs to 13 St 4.5lbs. I ate out a few times and s while staying with extended family assisted my teenagers in polishing off lots o Princes. Another of my downfalls. This week I'll have full control of the meals again so I'll be back on track soon.

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply to

Hi Derrygeel,

Sounds like you've had quite a sociable week, staying with extended family, and so gaining 0.75 pound is not much considering those circumstances! I hope you enjoyed the week, and it's good to hear you've got back full control of meals again this week, so you can hopefully soon get that weight back off again, and move onwards and downwards again once more!

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Here's to a great week :)

Morning everyone and congrats to all those who are doing so well. I didn't weigh in last week but weighed 16.8.4, so a 4 oz loss; this week I weigh 16.12.4.

At the end of December when I'd lost 2 stone I said I wanted to lose another 2 by my brother's wedding at the end of July. Well here I am 7 weeks into the New Year and am stuck yo-yo-ing between my pre- and post-Christmas weights.

I am making a fresh start (again!) this week, so let's see if I can do better.

Hope everyone has a fab week.

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toJigglypuff_62

Hi Jigglypuff_62,

Good morning! Firstly, well done for your 4 oz loss last week. Regarding this week, I note that you've gained 4 pounds. Ruth is going to do the stats this week, so she will ensure she puts the correct amount in the weekly stats.

I can sense that you are feeling a bit frustrated that you've been yo-yo-ing between your pre- and post-Christmas weights. Your plan to make another fresh start is a good one, but I'm wondering what aspects have felt difficult - maybe whilst making your new fresh start, you could do a 'review' of what you felt has worked well for you on the plan, and which parts have been more challenging? That way you could perhaps ensure that you focus specifically on the areas that have been challenging and perhaps tweak them or alter them so that they give you a better outcome?

Remember that you lost 2 stone at the end of December, so you had things under control at that time. Maybe think about what factors are contributing this year - and consider ways to help yourself to cope with and manage these things - so that they don't scupper your weight loss plans. You are doing really well overall - and the great thing is that you are continuing to focus and face things head on.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Hello tribe!

This is my first Monday weigh-in, but I joined the site 10 days ago and you have already helped me lose weight, so thanks everyone.

This morning 11 st 5 lb

last Mon 11st 8lb

I also had 3 job interviews this week. Waiting to hear about one, but didn't get the other two :-( Got feedback and they said I need to project more confidence. Darn!! Self-confidence is a lifelong battle for me, and part of the reason for over-eating.

I won't buy creme eggs but would very much like to !!!!

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toalisonewcastle

Hi Alisonnewcastle,

Welcome to your first Monday weigh-in, it's great to have you on board with us. Great that you joined the site 10 days ago, and that you've already lost some weight. As you started last Monday, and have lost 3 pounds this week, then we will gratefully count your loss in our weekly stats - what a great start to your weight loss - Congratulations! :-)

Have you also taken your body measurements? It can be really helpful to do that, as sometimes the scales don't shift, but people notice that their body measurements are changing, and that can be very motivating.

You're very busy with your job interviews currently. Sorry to hear you didn't get 2 of them, but hope you hear from the 3rd soon. At least they've given you some feedback to enable you to work on projecting more confidence. Maybe there are some books or online resources that could help with that? I think interview skills are tough - so wishing you all the best with future interviews. Hopefully the experience will get better as you gain more confidence.

Have you read the 'Welcome Newbie' post that Moreless has put together? It's in the pinned posts section - which is on the right-hand-side of the homepage. Really good - and worth a read.

Wishing you a great week ahead, and will look forward to seeing you in future weigh-ins and around and about in the forum.

Lowcal :-)

in reply toalisonewcastle

Hi Alisonewcastle - I was in a similar position last year - seemingly never ending job applications and interviews. I strongly believe I gained confidence as a result of not just losing weight, but simply becoming more accountable on here (lots of little reassurances, cheerings on etc all building up my self-confidence) as well as achieving goals in the fitness department - learning to run and feeling in control of my health and physical wellbeing in general. The job interview that finally got me into a job came at the end of my weight loss journey. I had new clothes, I was comfortable in my body, and I was very confident addressing people I didn't know as I'd gained so much experience of doing that on here. So I believe there's a lot more to be gained from avoiding those creme eggs than perhaps you realise. Good luck if you're still waiting to hear from the 3rd job - and let us know if you manage to stay away from the creme eggs :)

Hi. Well done Lowcal on having a super break and minimal gain. Going on holiday in a few weeks and I'm feeling nervous about how much I may gain while away. Down another pound this week to 11st 4lb. That's 9lb since January 4th. Thanks again for all the support through all the posts.

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toMrscaw

Hi Mrscaw,

Thanks very much.

I know you're feeling a bit nervous about your forthcoming holiday, in terms of the potential to gain weight whilst away. I think it's incredibly difficult to try to lose weight at such times, hence I usually aim to maintain or minimise my weight gain during holidays, but I also know that holidays can put on quite a lot of weight - maybe half a stone or so, but the good thing is that it usually comes off incredibly quickly - so it's not the end of the world if it happens. This is of course dependent on getting back on track again when you return.

So maybe pre-plan how you'll face your holiday - i.e. what your goal will be during the holiday time. Don't set yourself unrealistic targets - be kind to yourself, and remember that a holiday is an enjoyable time - often a break from usual routine, and so it's your choice regarding what you decide to do during that time, just as it is your choice to live your life how you choose to live it. Personally, I try to keep active during my holidays, and I still try to choose healthy foods, but I do allow myself a few more indulgences - e.g. I tend to choose a dessert more often, or drink more wine, or have an ice-cream etc. Whatever you decide to do, remember that we'll be here to support you when you get back from your holiday, and hopefully it won't be as bad as you anticipate.

You've lost another pound this week - that is really great! Congratulations on losing that pound, and to achieving a total loss of 9 pounds since you started on 4th January- really great!

Wishing you another great week ahead.

Good morning Lowcal, Fab 5 and Monday weighers,

Just 1.8lbs gain after a break in London is a pretty good result in my book, easily corrected in the coming week for someone as determined as you Lowcal...well done.

I somehow managed to maintain my weight this week despite having 3 little girls staying with me for half term and testing my resolve at every turn. Strict week for me this week so I can stay on track for my Easter challenge target.

Hi it's not been good since Friday. Started with horrendous monthly, so much pain. So no exercise. Then yesterday woke up with headache, sore throat and runny nose. So won't even try counting steps or exercising at the moment! I have put on 3lb this week but think this will be a blip as I can put on up to 7lb with that time of month.

Sorry to bore you all but it had to be let out somewhere!!

Hope everybody has a good week.

You've definitely made a sensible decision to rest and try to recuperate. I know you've gained 3 pounds, but you mentioned that you could potentially put on up to half a stone with the time of the month, so glad you didn't end up putting on as much as normally happens.

You haven't bored me, not at all. I'm just sorry to hear you're having to go through that. Great that you've off-loaded some of your feelings, and hope you feel better really soon.

I seem to be really struggling this year going up and down but not down lower ! So I need to re focus . Hopefully as the week progresses you will find your will power is coming back and the gain will whittle away. Jesterpuss1 just told me that my gain will be 'gone in a jiffy' and I suspect the same will be true for you, as long as you stay on track this week, and don't let that hormonal cloud devastate your new week ahead. Well this week has been full of positive and negative.

Negative: I got influenza last Wednesday

Positive: I have gotten unhooked from 2 liters of Pepsi Max a day and now drink water. (My goal is to just not taste pepsi for a good long while so I don't just bounce back to it)

Negative: I could barely eat because I felt sick.

Positive: I went from 142.7kg down to 137.7kg that is 3kg loss.

I am aware that some of this will come back and this is far from healthy weight loss but I won't complain because I have been trying to kick Pepsi for the past 3 years.

moreless profile image
morelessAdministrator7 stone in reply toMalisity

I'm going to say Woohoo Malisity, because you've got mainly positives. Flu was horrible, but you are, I assume, better, so that's a good thing.

Getting off the Pepsi is a massive step forward and I applaud you for that. I doubt you'll need to be off it for long, before the very taste of it sickens you! Yuck!!

A 3kg loss is massive, but I can't help thinking that it's probably not sustainable and very likely due to dehydration after the sickness. However, I'm sure it's permissible to enjoy it while it lasts ;)

Here's to a healthy week :)

Malisity profile image
Malisity in reply tomoreless

I agree, healthy sustainable weight loss is I believe 0,5kg a week if you want to be safe. So yes I would not be startled to "gain" next week even if it would just be water weight.

But celebrate we shall :D I hope the taste will sicken me, before Pepsi Max (Which is sugar free) I was addicted to regular coca cola and now I find that horrid. So I hope this goes the same way.

Have a great and healthy week Moreless

Hi Nuttynanny60,

Really glad you have joined us for today's Monday group weigh-in. You are very welcome, and hope you'll enjoy being part of our group. You've shared your starting weight, and I hope that felt ok to do so. I would also recommend taking your measurements, as it can be very motivating to see changes in those over time too - especially on those occasions when the scales sometimes don't budge.

You're already close to the 21's, so hopefully you'll be there very soon. Are you going to follow the NHS 12 week plan? I would recommend it as a good framework and there's lots of advice on healthy eating there. Let me know if you have any difficulty finding it.

Wishing you a great first week, and look forward to seeing you in future weigh-ins, and around and about in the forum.

Morning everyone!

I think 1.8 gain is reasonable if yo up feel you over indulged. More to the point you enjoyed yourself and made some great memories no doubt.

This week I'm down 1kg to 89kg. I was good to the point of sainthood last week and feel like it lost more weight. But I guess that just means I feel healthy because I have had a healthy week. In any case a loss is a loss and I shall not be ungrateful.

So sports bra is on, let the week commence! Onwards and downwards!

Good morning! Yes, I agree with you that my gain was worth it in the circumstances - must as I loved being in the 12's, I know I will get back there again, now I'm back no track. (Hark at my postive words - those 12's are elusive to me, but I am getting more acquainted with them now, so feeling I can tease them a little!).

Wow, you've had a great result this week - Congratulations on losing 1kg and getting into the 80's (kg wise). That's 2.2 pounds lost, fantastic!!!

Great that you're feeling healthy, that is a great feeling! I truely think you've had an amazing loss. Really well done!

Hi Everyone

I've had three weeks away from my bathroom scales, and eating hotel food, holiday food etc. So this morning I am 65.5kg - exactly one kg heavier than last time I joined the monday weigh-in. I am surprised it is not worse actually. So now, its back to knuckling down and watching calories as I try to improve again for next week monday.

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply to2fatbyfar

Hi 2fatbyfar,

I hope you enjoyed your break away. You've only gained 1kg in that time, so I'll divide that by 3, as I anticipate that was when you last weighed in with us - hence for our stats you've gained 0.33kg for this week. Hope that's ok with you. It's a minimal gain in anycase, and hopefully you'll soon get that off again now you're back on track.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Hi lowcal and everyone

It's so hard to not over indulge when we are away but I'm sure you'll see that 12 again next Monday :-)

This week I'm 9 stone 7.5lbs so 1lb less than last Monday. I'm quite pleased but I'm guilty of weighing myself every day (or more!) and I've been fluctuating between this and 9 stone 8.5lbs for the last week or so. Anyway, I'm going to put my scales in the shed until next Monday so I stay off them!

I'm struggling with motivation at the moment, initially the weight dropped off me without me putting in too much effort, 5lbs in the first 4 or 5 weeks and only a couple of lbs in the last 4. I know this is normal as initially it's not all fat that we lose but it felt so good seeing the weight go down quickly. I also know that when you don't have a lot to lose the rate of loss is slower. Anyway I'm determined to stick at it and will get there as I am sure everyone who cares about their health enough to post on here will too.

Good luck to everyone for this week

Caroline

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toCarolineAL

Hi Caroline,

Congratulations on losing 1 pound this week, that is really great.

It can be challenging to get used to the change in the rate of weight lost - i.e. the fact that in the first couple of weeks some people lose more weight (and clearly that was the case for you), and that feels motivating to lose larger numbers, but essentially the later losses of between 1 to 2 pounds is definitely healthy and so you're doing really well.

The important thing is that you're sticking with things, and providing you keep on track, you'll get there. You're making excellent progress.

Wishing you a really good week ahead.

One week in. I lost 3lb. That means 7lb to lose to a healthy BMI, and 15lb to my target.

It's a good start however I'm somewhat cautious because I know how weight can fluctuate.

Goals for this week are 5 exercise sessions, 2 of which are running. I have a long day in London on Saturday, so I need to prepare a packed lunch and healthy snacks in order to avoid eating rubbish.

Have a great week everyone.

Hi GreenShoots,

Wow, that's a great result for your first week - Congratulations on losing 3 pounds. You're getting closer to the healthy BMI. You're right, weight can definitely fluctuate, and often people notice a larger weight loss in the first couple of weeks, and then it tends to settle down to 1 to 2 pounds per week (or thereabouts). It does vary between individuals of course.

You've set yourself some great goals for this week with your 5 exercise sessions - and I hope you enjoy the 2 running sessions.

You sound like you're prepared in terms of having pre-planned what you need to do to help you cope with your long day in London on Saturday. Great plan.

Hello you lovely lot. Back from my holidays, and so two Mondays since I last weighed in. So at week 3 ( Monday 8th) I was 11st 4.8 didn't weigh in 15th (Dubai scales very old!) this morning 11st 5.4 so put on 12 oz in that time, so really not as bad as it could have been. I had a great holiday and didn't worry too much about my calorie intake, avoided bread, pasta and rice and did a few gym sessions, along with Stoke City players staying there(hee hee)!but other than that no restrictions.

Back to it for my week 6.

Read up on some posts this morning and everyone is sounding very positive, also lots of new posts too. All great to hear. One week of yucky February to go, let's make it count and start Spring on a high. Hope to get below my week 3 weigh in 11st 3 target!

Well on my first week of coming off the VLCD diet and on to counting cals and eating healthy and I have gained 3lb. Up to 11 stone 5 lb s now.

I am hoping that this is just because I have started eating proper food again and that next week will show a loss.

Anyone else had experience of changing from a low carb high protein VCLD to healthy eating?

I am a veggie so my healthy diet tends to be a bit carby, is this a problem?

Thanks, Sue

Zest profile image
ZestHealthy BMI in reply toLippysue

Hi Sue,

I think your questions are quite specialist in nature, and I wouldn't feel confident or qualified to give you a helpful response. We aren't nutritionists or dieticians on here, so I would recommend you discuss those specialist questions with someone suitably qualified. I don't mean to sound unhelpful by saying that, just I wouldn't feel confident to offer you a helpful response.

But I would say that healthy eating using the NHS 12 week plan framework is a good plan to follow, and many of us are following that plan - it does have lots of helpful advice and information.

Wishing you a good week ahead, and hope that you can get some appropriate advice to enable you to feel comfortable with your eating plan.

I have to admit that a VLCD is one of the few diets that I didn't try, but I have heard that the weight piles on when you go back to eating normally.

My thoughts would be to increase calories gradually, until your body gets used to having them a gain and sticking to lower GI carbs:

Carbohydrate food Lower GI choice

Bread

Multigrain, granary, rye,

seeded, wholegrain, oat,

pita bread and chapatti

Potatoes

New potatoes in their

skins, sweet potato and

yam

Pasta

All pasta, cook until al

dente and noodles

Rice Basmati rice, long grain

and brown rice

Other grains

Bulgur wheat, barley,

couscous and quinoa

Breakfast cereals

Porridge, muesli, most

oat and bran-based

cereals

I hope this helps.

Have a great week :)

It is probably just a temporary thing with the change in diet, after the VLC one. Keep eating sensibly and the weight will come off, probably slower than you are used to, but it will come off. Well done for sticking with it since July, that must have been hard!

Also, I am a strict vegan and lose on average 2 - 3lbs a week (lost 60lbs since Sept)!

in reply toLippysue

Hi Sue, I'm also veggie (although I sometimes have a little fish) and I've also found the problem that my diet tends to be carb-heavy. I recently looked up the recommended protein allowance for adults and calculated how much I should have (see 'How much do you need?' on here bbc.co.uk/guides/z8899j6 ). When I worked out what I was having from my various sources of protein - nuts, beans, quorn etc - I was pleasantly surprised that I do have enough protein. An easy way to check this is ask google 'How much protein is in chickpeas' and it tells you the protein per 100g of chickpeas, etc. These veggie sources compare very favourably with meat/fish sources. So I'm now questioning my assumption that a veggie diet needs to be carb-heavy. I think I just need to make sure to include enough protein (although I'd never try to actually cut out carbs altogether). As always - I'd recommend only making slight changes to your diet, keeping everything in balance, and referring to the NHS 12 week plan which is full of useful advice like this too. I hope that helps :)

Good luck for your goal for March - I know you want to lose a stone in a month, but it might be a tough call, as after the initial larger amounts come off early in an eating plan, it usually levels off to about 1 to 2 pounds per week (i.e. not usually more than 1kg per week max), but people do vary. Anyway, wishing you continued success, you are making great progress, and really well done.

Hi Lowcal, sorry I'm at little late responding to your post hun, better late than never :-) I've been so busy lately and haven't even had chance to catch up with everyone, but as you know I love the forum loads and must catch up :-)

Sorry to hear you have had a gain this week Lowcal, however looking on the bright side of your gain you got to have a wonderful time away in London and enjoying life as it should be enjoyed with some indulgences here and there, which in my book is allowed :-) when your away it's nice to try and keep things under control as best you can, but I know from my own experience that it's not all about watching what your eating as this can always be worked off and I can see that you have a good plan in place already with your gym visits and I'm sure this will include lot's of other exercises.

I went back to work this week so not very exciting, but I have had a fantastic time whilst not being there LOL. I've had quite a few indulgences myself last week so I too have had a gain. As I only weighed myself on Friday I am using this week to get back on track as best I can and see if I can balance things out on the scale and if not I will try to get as close to 10/10 as I was before. That's another story I will be sharing later in the week with you.

After being in the 12's I know you will be fully focused and determined to get back there and I wish you every success in doing so. You can do it Lowcal and I will be thinking of you every step of the way.
