Sorry to hear about that, I have had spells where I get sleepy & lay down & sleep for 1-2 hrs. Then up for 1-2 hrs. Then back to bed, goes on all day & night but that is after I was slipped Benadryl.
Have your drs done a sleep study to see if they can figure out what is going on? I'm sorry your are going through this, please keep us updated when you can.
I get so exhausted that I crawl into bed and just can’t move at all. But it doesn’t happen very often, maybe once every 3 weeks. Just sheer exhaustion. Completely out of gas, nothing left. I don’t like to get to that point and try to avoid it, but sometimes I just don’t have any control over it. I can’t even lift my arms to get a drink from the nightstand when it happens. Very discouraging.
Good morning. How are you feeling? I am okay. I thought about the exhaustion thing. But this has been going on since I was 9 years old. I'm sure when he's ready G*D will reveal to my mind exactly what this is.
Hi… I can strongly identify with your symptoms. I have had the same symptoms… sudden onset of fatigue where I must get to a bed… I must lie down and sleep… my body suddenly feels so weak I can’t even lift a piece of paper. I have been successfully treated for this problem for about 25 years now - sleep apnea. I have to say… your symptoms sound exactly like what I was experiencing before getting a cpap (continuous positive air pressure) machine to treat the sleep apnea I was diagnosed with. Have you gone for a sleep study? How do you know that you don’t have sleep apnea… it really does sound to me like you have the same thing I did before I got the machine.
Sleep apnea causes certain muscles to over-relax causing blockage to the air passage resulting in a lack of oxygen leading to excessive tiredness and weakness. Not treated… lack of oxygen can lead to brain damage and stroke. It is a very dangerous disorder that many doctors are not properly diagnosing.
Just so you know… I have met 2 other people who were misdiagnosed by their doctor but had the exact same symptoms I had (just like you). I recommended that they at least go for a sleep study test which they both did and both were diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. They both got sleep apnea machines and both have since been symptom free.
Please look further into this. It’s worth it to at least get tested. It really is a matter of life or death.
