This is one way to explain it... How do you explain it?

My girls actually looked it up on the mymsaa.org/ site! Im so proud! πŸ™‚ πŸ’• Now when anyone asks and l say, lts like taking the remote and having 1 good battery and 1 bad... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

How do you explain it? πŸ€”

I say that it is a neurological disorder, if they want more then I go with the stripped wire analogy. Most don’t ask for more though.

Brain damage is my response and hopefully my brain will rewire itself. SERIOUSLY 😜πŸ€ͺπŸ™ƒπŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ₯°

MS?? I'm drunk!😜

Actually, I can't remember the last time I had to explain.

When I was using a cane most of the time, I'd sometimes get asked why I was using one. Saying I have MS usually makes them slink away.😜

When I am out in the wheelchair, nobody asks about my condition, They might stare as they try to figure out what's wrong with me.πŸ˜…

I saw this shirt on Amazon recently and have to have it. So many colors to choose from!πŸ˜‚

I tend to use that ugly old table lamp from Great-Aunt Mildred at your mother's house that you can't get rid of in spite of the fact that it overheats, shocks people, or stops working without warning. Either that or a frayed extension cord.

Yup. The frayed exposed lamp wires is my go to explanation for all my short circuiting issues. Most folks don't ask for much detail after I say "M.S.". I just get that "look" if you know what I mean. 😜

"Mommy's immune system gets confused sometimes and thinks my brain and nerves are bad guys, like germs, and attacks them. This makes me sick for a while and leaves boo boos on the inside of my body you can't see. My doctor can see them though, by taking cool pictures of my brain. She also gives me medicine to try to teach my immune system not to hurt me."

That's a good way of putting it! I used to tell people to wrap rubber bands around their toes & fingers until it hurts & then strap 5lb bags of flour to each arm & leg, go without sleep for more than 24 hrs & then try to get on with your day.
