that they made riding mowers as quiet as my power wheelchair. It's downright hot out today. 80 with no sunshine, and they're calling for dangerous storms later. It seemed the perfect day to take my wheelchair out into the yard and down to the woods. Where it promptly got stuck in the mud. Silly me had left my phone in the house, and my son had no clue that I was even outside. I did get it unstuck, but I had to push it uphill several yards before I got to solid ground, and that just completely wiped me out. Next time I'll take the mower, and the h*ll with any sleeping neighbors! 😜
I wish...: that they made riding mowers as... - My MSAA Community
I wish...
At least you are ok 👍🤗
They do have battery p;owered electric push mowers. Soon maybe they'll come out with electric lawn tractors also.
That would be nice! I was just so pleased to discover that they make automatic riding mowers. I'd always used the traditional manual ones, and my new one is so much easier on me. If only it wasn't so noisy! Half my property is classified as a flood plain, so it's frequently soggy. The wheelchair obviously isn't going to cut it.
You have interesting adventures!
I'm glad you're alright.
I do! It keeps life interesting. At least I didn't try climbing a ladder yesterday, although I was tempted.
Glad you're okay
sorry about the mud it is everywhere for the ground hasn't had enough time to dry our from winter....be safe...
I feel your pain! As my impairment increased, my dependence on my utility tractor, livestock guardian dogs and cell phone has increased. The little tractor gets me around, and with forks and a pallet become my arms and legs. My LGD (Maremma Abruzzese) are always at my side and assist me to my feet if the ground gets in the way of my attempts to fly fail (haven’t succeeded yet, but I’ll post when I do.). The cellphone is to call my retired firefighter neighbor. His wife is a nurse. One or the other is available if I get in a real pickle! I vote wake up the neighbors AND carry a cellphone… charged cellphone! Oh and Denise makes me wear day glow safety t-shirts during hay season… ‘so I can find you if…’. LOL
28 acres here but still manage 110 acres. My neurologist asked when I could retire… I answered this is my retirement! My tractors are my all-terrain wheelchairs. She smiled and said that’s great. Good luck with the lottery… we should all win even without playing!
