How long does one have to lay in the snow

with your rollator in the street before someone stops to help?

One half hour according to the man my hub stopped to help yesterday!

He saw the man on the ground as he was driving back to work on his lunch hour.

He was on a busy street, lots of people going by & no one stopping!

wow what a shame. I hope he is ok.

My hub seemed to think so as he offered to drive him and he said he was alright.

When my hub went to lift him up, he told him to relax, "I pick my wife up off the floor every so often."

Practice makes perfect!😆

That's wonderful that your husband noticed him and helped. 👏.

He's a good guy.

I just don't understand how anyone can drive by & do nothing.

Humbrd profile image
Humbrd in reply to falalalala

It's sad but there are a lot of people who turn a blind eye to people in need. It's like people don't want to get involved. I don't understand it either.

Oh that's ridiculous! 🤬 All I can say is karma is a powerful thing for all those people who drove by seeing the empty walker and the gentleman in the snow, 😡 Thank your husband for me!🤗. Can you tell that makes me furious on his behalf....Aaarrggh.....Fancy59.

We will all sit in the judgment seat someday & the judge will tell your husband "Well done my son". We should all try to be a blessing to someone everyday even if it's just as simple as a smile. It's so nice to hear good stories about people helping other people. Your husband is a blessed man & you are blessed to have him as your husband❣️🤗 Thanks for sharing♥️

I asked him how old this guy was and he said that they are around the same age.

(late 50's)

I think it came as a surprise to him.😅

You have a gem of a man. Always cherish him, as I know you do! I’m puzzled by people’s actions or inactions.

that's horrible, and in winter! i'm glad your husband is a kind person. my dad (parkinson's) went to check the post and fell. he couldn't get up and he didn't have his phone, but luckily the postman was kind and helped him up. we used to go wave at him when he delivered the post after that.

I am so glad your hubby stopped to help, but I'm not surprised. I agree with your statement that you felt that everybody on this website would have done the same thing. Of course, we would, because we empathize with the person who needs help. Are we more aware of what is going on around us? I don't know. Thank you for posting this, a lot to think about. Thank you, Falalalala's husband!
