How long should one be expected to wait around for a telehealth appointment?

My appointment was at 1pm.

10 minutes before, they text to put you in the queue.

No text. No call.

It's now 1:30.

They don't work in the office on Friday, just phone visits.

I want to send her a bill.

I would wait as long as possible since you don’t know if there was an emergency or if they simply forgot you, falalalala . I hope that it’s the former and not the latter! Keep Smiling (Can you call them to remind them that you are waiting?)

Forgot about that, falalalala ! Can you call them on their personal cell phone number? My neurologist has given me their personal cell phone number, and I hope that they don’t regret that! 😂

I got pretty sick about a year ago & was referred to her through my regular physician.

So, I see her every so often.

I waited an hour for my heme/Onc tele appt. And 40 min for GI appt. Both apologized. The heme/Onc said wow, I didn’t think u would still be there. I consoled myself. At least I was home and could read, run to the bathroom etc. then again, I wait that long at their offices too 😞

I do like the phone visits much better though.

I now have a new gastro visit on the 21 but am going to get a test done by another physician in the meantime to see if I even need this enzyme they have me on.

I cut my dose inhalf and am doing better so I need to see where I am at.

They must have a new scheduler, the one who worked for one of the doctors who once treated me. When I had checked in, waited for 3 hours, then left...I was billed for a no-show. I didn't pay, because I could prove I had been there, checking with the desk every so often!

I have been very fortunate with my calls as the doctor has made the call herself and been within 5 minutes of schedule time. 🤞🏼😉
