My new normal since last Feb.
I'm right there with ya.
I am trying to get some housework done.
It even took long to type that^
I thought it was just me, doing the same old, same old, everyday, and getting no where. π€
A 10 minute shower πΏ is now an hour and a half!
No such thing as a quick shower anymore. Although there is more of me and less hair, why is that?
The shower doesnβt take a long time for me. Itβs the drying and dressing that takes forever.
What used to take me half hour is hour and half but still get it done β . Have just adjusted my attitude and patients along with making fun of myself so I donβt swear ππ€£. Stay positive gang and keep going forward πππ€ Ken πΎπΎπΎπΎ
Very true
I just try to take things a lil @ a time and feel excited after Iβm able to complete all that I set out to do for that day. Great post!
Not just you. Once I could work all day, teach two nights a week, garden, keep my house clean, the dogs and hens fed, now in a day I feel accomplished when I get up, dress, and take care of the dog and hens. If I go to the market and stop for gas, put away all the groceries (not just the frozen items) woo hoo, I'm much more fragmented than I used to be: I'll sort the laundry, then remember to wash up the dishes, go on to clean the bathrooms, and then remember the laundry piled on the bedroom floor ready to go into the washer. As I'm writing this, I remember the jeans I left in the dryer yesterday. I'm more distracted/distractible than I once was but maybe it's age and not MS. I dunno, but my former self astonishes me.
goatgal , Can you please stop by? I will promise you a plateful of cookies ~ just give me a week to bake them!
I had my 2nd MRI in a month yesterday. I went in the tube at 7:30 and came out at 9:00. LONG time. They went down my neck and back.
It is definitely not just you. In my mind I can do everything that I did in the past. The reality is that I can do about 25% and I will need to rest while in the process π©
It takes me a long time because I forget what I was doing because I am easily distracted from what I am doing or forget what I was going to do. Several days to remember to take that shower. Etc, etc.
The things that I can control that take longer are due to age and MS progression. Things out of my control I think take longer because of Covid-19.
