Yes, they say heaviness is due to spasticity…then muscle fatigue because MS and exacerbated by spasticity…at least what I’ve been told
not all the time ...it usually happens if i am doing something for along time like cleaning out my stash in the sewing room or working out in the garden to long with lots of lifting and bending over ..sometimes it feels as if i can't stand up and move to go back in the house for i have over done it ...be careful...i know i have to scold myself for doing to much all at once for too long ...i just want to get it done....ahhahahhhaa...my own worse enemy when trying to get something done and done now...ahhahahah...
The heavy legs was one of my first and most consistent symptoms. I've had it 24/7 for quite a few years now, but it only gets bad when I push myself too hard. As long as I rest frequently and don't do a lot of walking, it's tolerable.
I get that often. I just have to sit and rest for a little while. Once while out on a hike, I stopped to rest and sat down in front of a tree next to the trail. I leaned my back up against it and was asleep within seconds. I didn't wake up until other hikers woke me up to ask if I was OK. I was like that for at least an hour. I assured them I was OK and not to worry about me.
If it is new you should report it to your neuro. May be exacerbation from the stress you've under but you will want to rule out a relapse.
Does sound like spasticity and it sucks. I would talk to your nuro. if you have not as it is very common. Just listen to your body and rest when it is telling you to.
Yes I have that same issue. My wife refers to as my L shape. Try to tell her it is not funny because it hurts like hell even though it has gone away.My back surgeon and neurologist have both recommended PT. No changes since I have done that.
Drinking water, physical therapy and a rollator help me it's not a solution but it helps
yes. my legs get heavy and if i don't sit, i fall.
