Since I am moving back to Southern California, are there any of you that live in Southern California? I see most people live back east or in other states.

Hi Ryan, hope you find lots of new friends in California. I live in the uk. Take care, and try not to get too stressed with the move, Jimeka

Hi Jimeka, I am from California. Only been in Arizona for five months. I left California for a new start that back fired on me so now I am returning to my home state. I will probably keep to myself and try to make new friends cause my so called old friends where not friends.

I'm going to try to get involved with a ms group that has a meeting once a month at the local library.

I am not stressed about the move since I have lost everything already. I am still dealing with giving my doggie away to better himself. Just miss him so much and love him.

Thank you so much for reaching out to me. Your a great friend.

It must be so hard even your beloved pet. I know that since my yellow lab passed away two years ago I've not gotten over it and I miss her so much! They become so much a part of our family and I cared for her for two years when she couldn't walk before she passed away. She was such a delight to me and our family. Right now I'm not in a position with my house being so disorganized in my life being disorganized to think about getting another dog. But that would never replace her if I did! I also lost my three cats to old age and older age diseases and one is still alive and living with my son in Michigan she will be 20 if she makes it until December 1.

I lived in SoCal (Sherman Oaks) for three years before diagnosis but moved back home to Wisconsin to be closer to my family after diagnosis. I'm sure you're aware of this from living in Arizona but watch out for the heat! I was playing soccer outside in 90° weather when my first symptoms showed up. Stay cool under all circumstances! Sep

Thank you SepFromWisco,

I grew up in California and lived there all my life. Only been out here in Arizona for 5 months and hate it here that's why I am moving back. Thank you very much for the information.

I live in Anaheim. Been here for over 40 years. For the most part the weather is moderate. August, September and October can be a little warm.. Extreme cold weather makes me as miserable as the hot.

Hi Sleek. I live in San Diego. I'm seventy years old and have lived here since I was twenty-three. I've had MS since late '81 (right after the birth of my son), but wasn't diagnosed until '98. Most of the time San Diego's weather is great for people with MS - not too hot and not too cold, although it's been unusually humid this year. I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else. If it does get too hot or too cold I don't hesitate to use my ac or my heater since the gas and electric company gives a break to people with MS. The National MS Society is very active in San Diego and has lots of activities for us. The one I've made most use of is the weekly MS yoga class. I've been taking this class since '06 and have made lots of good friends who are also in the class. All of us have MS and we are emotional and practical support for each other.

I wish you all the best wherever you end up in CA.

It is nice that you have a group of friends who also have MS. I think that can be difficult to find! Thru another group I belong to online, a number of MSers have joined from my city, but it isn't like we can get together. But we can keep in touch on the group. I did meet with someone a couple times I think at a dinner put on by the drug company as she lived near me, however she has since moved to another suburb and we are not in touch much.
