I agree with Royce. There are those who feel they've been "cured" by stem cell transplants, but these are very expensive, can be fatal, and sometimes the disease it seems to cure returns. (I'm not discouraging anyone from looking into it or doing it!) And the there are the host of snake oil sellers to watch out for. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Until a real cure for MS is found, we keep taking care of ourselves and taking our DMTs.

I agree with RoyceNewton and greaterexp on this Jackjosh , studies are being done on HCST but nothing conclusive has been made. And NONE are FDA approved.

We never ever give up hope and we never stop our DMTs ☺️🤗💕

Wow, let me know what they did. I haven’t heard of anyone who even knows why it happens let alone any cure. I don’t want to burst any bubbles, but I’m skeptical.

I don't remember who it was I just know it was somebody from like turkey or somewhere over there and I don't even go on Facebook anymore

Nope, never have heard of a cure. I would be very wary of someone promoting a 'cure' to 'ms'. Sounds like he might be toying with you. Just be very careful.

I wish there was a cure. 👀 That would be the day ALL autoimmune system diseases would be cured. ❤🌷

Agree with all above, there is no cure. But there is no reason for anyone to give up! Perhaps that person had a remission, but there is no cure. Maybe soon Stem Cell will help cure a multitude of diseases. Until then, we never give up!

When I first heard this from someone I asked my dr. She said no that person just no longer has symptoms and believe they’ve been cured.

I asked my dr because I had just met this woman who tried to tell me she was cured because she didn’t have symptoms anymore She spent years in a wheelchair that leaned back and at one point she was in assistive living, and now she is walking around without any assistive devices. So I asked her what she did and she told me she changed her diet and started working out. But she takes a butt load of crazy pils.

What a lot of people either don't know or don't understand is that with Relapsing MS it is entirely possible for some people to virtually return to their old "normal" after a relapse - it just takes time and that time is likely to be different for each person - and this is quite possibly what may have happened to the woman that rjoneslaw mentions.

Often, people who try one of the "MS Diets" think it has cured or "overcome" their MS because they recover enough to have either no or minimal symptoms or impairments. The truth is that there is no way of really knowing whether that degree of recovery from a relapse may have happened anyway regardless of diet. And some lucky people may go for years before having another relapse or may possibly never even have another relapse. However, they are not "cured" - their MS is just in remission, and the two are not the same thing.

Regardless of whether you have MS or not there are benefits to having a healthy diet with lots of vegies etc, and staying away from processed and junk foods, fizzy drinks etc. Just be very sceptical of any claims that a particular diet can overcome or cure MS - and that is regardless of whether it is gluten free, Wahls, Jelinek's OMS, Best Bet, vegan, or any of them, as despite the claims of their "promoters" there is no hard scientific evidence that they will cure MS.

@Jackjosh: It is just a tear wash stunt!

There is no cure for MS, yet.

i had hsct at northwestern in 2014. i was treated off study and my edss was 6.5. some people who have had it say no chemo, no cure but i don't consider myself cured necessarily. i'm in remission, haven't been on dmds in 5 years and wish i had it sooner. it was great for me (i was 34 in a nursing home), i walk unassisted and now my edss is 3.5. i still can't work and have other issues because of the ms but hsct is for real. and all the drugs have risks anyway. i'm very lucky i had it done. note that medicare and my secondary paid for everything including over a month of inpatient pt directly after to learn to walk again.

If there was a cure for MS it would be all over the news & in every newspaper all over the world. Symptoms can & do disappear in Relapsing & Remitting forms of MS. The MS can go into remission for years until it decides to rear its ugly head.
