Hello all my wonderful friends. It's been awhile. Went to visit my mom and thankfully I did when I did because she busted her ear drum while I was there and that was horrific!!! But much better. My question for you today is, While I was gone my son got a bit of congestion. Which my husband got. When I came back for the most part they seemed fine but my husband being the angel he is refused to kiss me knowing that Ocrevus kills my immunity. Or more specifically the B cells. (fighting cells) I wake up in the midst of the night a few days later. With sinus, and chest congestion and a nasty cough. Which is getting worse and worse. Does anyone else get what should have been a simple cold have it become a nasty flu or whatever? and their 99 fever is my 100. Any fever and life is hell because of the heat.
We basically summed it up to: Their cold is my flu, their flu is my covid, their covid is my death.... Anyone else notice the same thing?

I got Covid 7 weeks ago and not sure from where? Being cautious about grocery store and doctors. My main exposure are these places and AA meetings. Have had all shots and booster and avid masks 😷 and sanitizer. Anyway was six weeks of recovery and still not 💯 percent yet. After first week it set off my MS and was terrible 😢 I do have cancer ♋️ also it it really kicked my butt. I have survived but now church ⛪️ and hospital 🏥 are taking mask 😷 mandatory down. I guess we will see, still wearing mine but boy do I get weird looks. All I can say is protect your self 🙏👍🏼😉🐾🐾😷
I gave up on Ocrevus because I was sick all the time while on it, but I'm also far enough along that the neuro didn't think it would help me much in the first place. I didn't get seriously ill, but I had never-ending colds and sinus infections. I couldn't lay down without coughing my lungs out, and I kept ripping my CPAP off while I slept. My ears would clog for weeks on end, and my nose was constantly stuffy.
My dr's office said that a sinus infection/symptoms mimic covid, so if your family and you are not feeling better soon, I would get tested to make sure.
I was on the original DMT's for 20+ years, Avonex, Betserom, copaxone, and Rebif. Besides having flue-like symptoms for the last almost 3 years corresponding to each of the injections. I never had so much as a sniffle all those years. And for almost a decade later. Sneezes in the face at night from my wife with the flue. Nothing. Bulletproof. One evening during one of the house full of sickies. Felt something maybe coming on. Went to bed. Woke up perfect. So, if you can tolerate regular self injections, till you get to the flue-like symptoms...never a sniffle. The flue-like symptoms had no sneezing...only fever with shakes, achiness, and feeling miserable till about noon the day of your next injection, to start it all over again.
Yes. It doesnt seem to matter which DMT I am on. I have always had issues with simple minor bugs that everyone else gets past in a couple or 3 days.. me? I am still fighting that same bug 2 weeks later. The worst one tho was Mayzent. That drug made me sick with everything, it seemed like. I stayed isolated the entire time I was on it and still got sick every time I turned around. It was horrible. After 15 months I couldn't deal with it anymore and stopped taking it. An abscessed tooth and a hang nail infection did me in.
Unfortunately that is how MS works , I have had MS for 20 years I take Tecfidera 120mg twice a day ,make sure you eat when taking your meds it makes a difference at least for me ,most of the labels usually suggest taking with food.
