Back in the hospital again.

Well here we go again extreme infection again but this time they had to fly me to the big hospital by helicopter. I thought I had this figured out but apparently I don't so I'm sitting in the hospital and I can't move because my temperature is high. They gave me antibiotics and it worked for a little while but my temperature is going back up. Does anyone else have this problem? And what do you do for it? Thank you. I'm really scared that my Ms has moved into my central nervous system.

I’m sorry you are hospitalized with an infection. Maybe they need to try a different antibiotic? I don’t really have any experience with this level of infection but since I’m on Ocrevus, and it comes with a susceptibility to infection, I try to be really careful. I fall a lot and get banged up so I use a lot of antibiotic cream when needed.

M.S. is a disease of the central nervous system so I’m not sure what you meant by your comment about it now moving into it. It’s already been there. Are you experiencing some progression? I hope the doctors find an antibiotic that can knock out the infection so you heal quickly and can go home soon. Let us know how you are doing!

This is not necessarily your ms. A high temperature can make your ms symptoms worse. When I was rushed to hospital with a fever, the paramedics spent a hour googling ms as they had no idea. Hopefully they will find an antibiotic that works on your infection. I hope that you are home soon and painting again. I love your paintings. Stay strong, today is a new day, let us know how you get on. Blessings Jimeka 🤗 🍫

so sorry ...have you mentioned that this has been going on for awhile for they may have forgotten and can try something different for other meds didn't work ...wow it is scary when dealing with people that don't know much about MS and they are treating you ...like others have suggested it may not be the MS causing this ....call your personal doctor for they should know that you have been having this problem for awhile and now in the hospital ...

I guess I have never associated fevers/infections with MS. I've not had either. But I hope you feel better and can go home soon!

I'm sorry to hear you are in the hospital again. Hopefully they can get the infection under control for you ASAP. Don't need that to spread or get worse. Keep us updated when you can.

Sorry, you are in the hospital. I hope they can find an antibiotic that will kill whatever is ailing you. I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure that the infection is rallying your MS. Whenever I get the slightest cold, fever, etc. it causes my MS to flare up. Hope you feel better soon!

So sorry to hear about your illness and being in the hospital. I do hope you feel better soon. I have experienced that problem over the years. So challenging when we live with compromised immune systems. Please stay strong.
