what to do with my dirty laundry?
I would give them a call to see if they are still doing laundry and how they will handle it going forward. In the meantime, I would wash the bare essentials by hand. Let us know how you are doing as I am sure that you are not the only one dealing with this new normal. And don't forget to Keep Smiling, Hidden
Thanks for ur help. I do have a sarcastic kindda dry sense of humor but, I do not feel like smiling.
If you have any kind of soap or detergent, I’ve had to do laundry by hand in a sink, tub, or bucket before. I’m grateful I’ve never had to do it that often.
u may not know this but u can wear the cloths several times before they need to be washed.
my sister and my motto is if you haven't seen me in it I haven't wore it yet. If you did I have something similar i liked the style so I brought several
Wow. Something I never thought of. Prayers dear
Send it down the clothes chute! Don't you have one of those? Me neither. But, I had friends growing up who did! I was always jealous. Why? Come to think of it, Why?
So you don't have one of those either, don't feel bad. You did hoard everything you ever wore since you were in high school didn't you? I did. I just spent 2 days, going through everything I owned clothes wise. Threadbare dress shirts, my old college t-shirt I haven't worn since,????....48 years ago! Okay, I kept that one, but, I did throw out 2 stuffed heavy duty bags 30" diameter by 5-1/2' tall. They were really heavy duty, I almost couldn't lift them myself, and I am still strong as bull! Don't worry, my wife assured me that there wasn't a thing worth donating! But....But.....But.....Okay??? I still have my sweatshirt from college, in my favorite color! Let's see, 48 years from now???? I'll wear it by 2068!?!?
And, I kept a whole lot of wear one last time and toss shirts for the grimy stuff I do? Yeah, like I'll be painting the house again. But if I do! I'll be ready!!!
As a kid, one house we used to live in had an old laundry chute. The house was a little over 100 years old. My younger sisters and I were playing hide and seek. My younger sister climbed into the chute that was in our parent's bedroom. She got stuck in it. The chute was made for articles of clothing not 10 year olds. My Dad had to get creative to get her back out without hurting her. Once he got her out. He boarded up all the chute openings so that none of could try that again.
