Coming up on my birthday

I've been on Ocrevus for nearly 2 years, I wish it was available 25 years ago before I lost so much of my mobility. I am looking forward to spending my birthday with friends and family who are a good support group for me. I am also excited to be a part of this group, sharing my experiences and learning from all of you.

I'm really happy to hear that Ocrevus is helping you. My doctor just prescribed it for me, and I'm feeling so overwhelmed because I'm JC virus positive, and afraid of PML. Are you JCV positive?

No, I am not. JC positive. I did develop the shingles. When I had my first ocrevus infusion. It is understandable. That you would be nervous. I am now. Going on my 6th infusion and each time the infusions Go without any problems. I do feel. Better Taking this ocrevus. Compared to all of the other Ms. Medicines that I have been on. Thanks for replying to me. And best of luck to you with your ocrevus infusions

We are so glad you have found this too. Please promise to offer you a safe place to come and ask questions, voiced concerns, speak to others who truly understand what you're going through. I to understand your sentiment about wishing things were available before your disability got so great. My doctors figured I lived with Ms. For about 15 years before I was even diagnosed. . I was so strong and so physical as I ran our farm that I pushed right through all the symptoms and just kept on trucking on. But boy when MS Reared its ugly head, it knocked me down flat on my back. If I had realized I had MS when I was in my late 30s, I probably would have gone crazy. At that time there wasn't anything in the market to control it or slow it down at all. .

So last year I hit my sixth decade of life. And thus far as my MS. goes, I am in the secondary Progressive stages of MS. . I, too, was on ocrevus for about 2 years. But about three to four weeks ago, I experienced a big Upswing in my disability symptoms. . My balance is extremely poor to start with and I believe I fell 7 times in 10 days, which is up. Breakfast for me. A record, which I never hope to repeat. LOL. So I paid a visit to my neurologist and he took me off Of ocrevus and put me on a brand new newly approved DMT called Mayzent. I am waiting for results of a Blood test they did to determine. Have my liver would accept And distribute the drugs to my system. . If that goes okay, then I will start the new therapy sometime about the first or second week of next month. . Before then we just have to jump through all the Hoops that the insurance company requires.
