Hello I was diagnosed when I was 18 and am now 33. I was diagnosed with RRMS and it has changed into the secondary progressive MS with in the past three years. I have been on and off of medication for years due to having insurance and not. So it has been difficult for me to stay ahead of this nasty disease. I am blessed to be the mother of four amazing boys and married to the love of my life.

Sorry to hear that your MS has progressed RR to SP. I hope you are on a DMT (Disease Modifying Treatment) now. Many of the drug companies will provide the drug to you free. I am on Ocrevus now and I am getting it for free from the drug company and I do have insurance.

Thank you and yes I am on that as well. I will be getting my third infusion next week.

Good glad to hear it. Ocrevus has done wonderful for me. It has taken away most of my MS symptoms & l bbq have been able to get off all other M S medications. I hope it is helping you as well.

Mine would be better I'm sure but I have gum disease and I cant find anyone of pull them and get dentures with the insurance I have! I am in so much pain and I need to get better.

Welcome to a great group. We are a large group now with people with varying types of MS, but we all understand.

I hope you are now on an effective DMT. You have lots of challenges with four kids, but it sounds like they and your spouse are marvelous.

How long have you been on ocrevus? How has it been working for you? I had my first two half doses in september

Welcome! I was recently diagnosed in july and this forum helped me so much and has wonderful people who are such a great support. 28 and i have two girls. I am still learning alot as this disease is so new to me. How did you know you were spms? Did you have increased disability?

Thanks. I got sick and couldn't walk and was put in the hospital for almost a month. While I was there they did an MRI and my doctor said it had switched. I used to work I used to be able to get in and out of the bath by myself. Things are different for sure. It sucks, but I get to be a stay at home mom as well as homeschool them.

I homeschooled my kids and loved it. I did have a CIS back then, but full blown MS didn’t show up until they were all raised. My daughter is homeschooling, and she has a progressive disease called CMT. I’m sure you share many of the challenges she does. You’re in my prayers!
