In between lots of knee exercises, oh what fun 🤭
I know it's a bit of a bother with Christmas, but I'm glad you are getting lots of physical therapy. Let us know how it's helping.
Your calendar needs some non-medical self time penciled in. Time to be joyful 🌲🎁🛍😊🤗
🤷♀️ I haven’t been getting health unlocked notifications for the past mos. (they started back up yesterday). So, hi everyone and hope you’ve been well and if celebrate, had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I started relapsing, got a cold, got worse, did a 3 day steroid infusion. Between steroids, colder weather, and cold resolving I improved but still a limp and more spasms.
Saw MS PT yesterday and we worked on why or where the limp was originating from. New, more exercises to add to my regimen 😊
I follow up with her in January.
Worsening shortness of breath and seeing Pulmo for follow up on the 13th.
Recounting all this, it sounds like I’m broken...but I’m not.
The worst is I just miss my mom 😢💔
I do hope all are feeling wonderful! 👍😊🤗
Sorry erash . It’s an awful period of time to go through. I still miss my mum after 7 years in January, but I talk to her particularly when the grandsons get good news at school or during sports. I think being down with a cold or flu, whatever, probably makes you feel worse. Tomorrow is your birthday so I hope that you feel up to celebrating, do something that brings you joy, then post and let us know how you did. Blessings Jimeka 🐼 🌞
I'm sorry you've been through the mill lately. I'm glad you are starting to be on the mend.
I love the thought by jimeka to talk with her mom. I tend to miss my dad this time of year, and maybe this year I'll write him a letter to thank him for all he has meant to me and so many others. He's been gone for years now, but somehow, I think it will help me feel better.
By the way, my email from HU has often been stopped. HU always reports that it's because of my email provider. After this last problem, I changed my email for HU to another backup email provider; so far no problems.
Early happy birthday. I hope you can do something special. Know you are much loved by all here on the forum.
Thank you greaterexp
How do I add an email back up 🤷♀️
I already had another email account I rarely used. I just went to my settings and changed my email address with Healthunlocked, so their emails would no longer be sent to the old email account which kept blocking them. Also make sure your email address book has the correct HU address. Though mine was correct, my old email account kept identifying it as spam, but mail never went to my spam folder either. Confusing!
Just odd that it stopped and started without my doing anything to the email or settings 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ but thanks!
That’s what happened to me three or four times. I always reported it to HU, but they said the problem was with my email provider. I hadn’t changed any settings and had the correct address in my email contacts. It’s a mystery. I hope you report it to HU so they can see if this is a trend and something they need to fix.
Many! I have many appointments. 🙄
12/2 dental cleaning. I do this every 4 months, because teeth are important.
12/9 urology check-up. Thanks MS for the neurogenic bladder. 🙄
12/13 ophthalmologist for OCT scan. They lost my September scan, so I’m doing this again. 🙄
12/19 dermatologist for annual skin check. Skin is important. Everyone should have a derm.
12/26 gynecologist for Pap smear. I’m an idiot for scheduling this the day after Christmas.
Wish me luck for maintaining sanity this month. 🤞🏻
I do 3 dental cleanings per year also! GL, there’s a lot this month for you 😵
Busy month for you! But the check ups are so important. I usually end up doing most of mine in one month also
I have a neuro apt but they are “fitting” me in. I had an apt for the 20th but they moved offices and tried to change it to march at 7:45am - office is an hour away! Never gonna happen. So i have an apt ......... mmmmm .... who knows wen
December is quiet for me, and that is by design. I travel less and less in the winter months (unless absolutely necessary) because of my failing balance and gait. It is better being on Ocrevus, but it is not a good as I would like it to be.
There’s too much going on at the end of the year, especially once you leave the house! The crazies come out from mid November to Jan. I’m using children as a reason to not travel for the week of Xmas, unless it’s to the airport because we are going to the beach/cruise ship.
So far no one has taken me up on that plan 😞 but I keep putting it out in the universe! 🙌🏻 🏝
December 9th. Pain pump refill , 11th. Oncologist for cancer ♋️ follow up. Big one December 6th.both furbabies get there hair cut, Rozy and Sniper😂 😊🐾🐾🐾🐾Ken

Did I miss your pic of the festive neck brace? 😵😭
I was trying to be Ina bubble where nothing could touch me!😭🤣 kdali And I had to cancel my appointment and reschedule it for this month greaterexp but it's feeling pretty good! 😊
Do you have any appointments this month? 🤔
Just brain MRI and lumbar puncture... a colorful holiday season for me!
Hemotology on the 12th praying I don’t have to have another pint of blood taken
Neurologist tomorrow. New neurologist. We are going to discuss my elevated CSF protein and ataxia. Possibly getting a thoracic and lumbar MRI.
Chiropractor next Tuesday. For some reason my occipital neuralgia has been acting up
3 office visits and one hospital stay to go! 🤰 I am enormous!!! 🤣
You’re tiny! It’s the baby and her gear that are enormous.
How r u feeling?
Pretty good all things considered! I’m not sleeping so well at this point, but most days I can catch a nap with V. Today is one of those office visits, so I’m excited that in 3 weeks, 1 day and 7 min, I’ll have my new little cherub 🥰
Ty for asking! 😘
Dermatologists and then labs for my January Ocrevus infusion.
My son is coming to visit for 5 days with his girlfriend. I haven't seen him since April last year when the Army sent him over to Okinawa. Very excited, only 13 more days 😁😁
just 1 heart appt for my atrill fibulation,I been good though, I am surprised I don't have more since I try to squeeze them in by the end of year for insurance .Let's not forget my favorite today (ha ha) mammogram, whooppee!
Oh, joy! Though I dislike them, I sure appreciate hearing that I’m all clear. I hope all goes well today and with your upcoming infusion.
I get to see my neurologist on the 11th, and if he doesn't call me by this weekend. he'll be giving me his analysis of my MRI and MRA. I really wanted to talk about other things with him--mostly his admonishing at one of his talks when he stressed, "tell your doctor EVERYTHING!" Well, he has 23 years of "EVERYTHING" I need to catch him up on! That's what happens when one loses all their medical records when a warehouse goes up in flames 14 years ago. :/
I hope you hear good results. What a difficult place it puts you in with not having old records.
It wasn't just old records--it was ALL my records. My first neurologist's records of my MS diagnosis, my first MRI, records of the lumbar puncture, the treatments for my optic neuritis, the betaseron treatment. I'Then Id discovered that five years ago when my health issurance wouldn't let me see a neurologist because there was no record I'd ever seen one. Then I thought surely, I would prove to the insurance company if I showed them my family doctor's records regarding his "second. . . um, nope! When he closed his office in my city, he put all his records in storage . . . oh, yeah! THAT warehouse! And when I was applying for disability, I couldn't even get the records of my knee surgery when I was 14, because the hospital where I'd been diagnosed with MS had bought the children's hospital where I'd had the knee surgery. And of course all those records had been moved into storage in a, uh, yeah, THAT warehouse! AFter all that, I only half-jokingly say it's good I was born in another hospital that has no connection to the university hospital whose warehouse went up in flames before all those records could be computerized. Otherwise there'd be no record except up in the state capital, that I was even born! It took me being wheeled into that University hospital's ER, comatose with 3 brain bleeds last year for me to have any existance in the medical records world! Now, how likely is it that something like that would happen to anyone? In a war-torn foreign country, maybe. But this was in a state of the US. So, since I didn't get the chance to tell him the story of all that "white scaring on the left side" of my brain he saw on the MRI he'd ordered in September, 2018.
Unreal! However , I believe with all my heart that you were born.
We should all get copies of everything we can and store them it selves, huh? The records, including the MRI from when I had the CIS over 20 years ago are gone, too. Now I get copies of everything I can.
Oh, I know! What's really frustrating for me is, I actually had the film of my first MRI in my possession, lumbar puncture results, etc. to take to my family doctor for his second oppion on my MS diagnosis! But because I follow rules, I returned all of it to the university hospital's records department. >(
Just 1 for December...tomorrow at 10 am...the Pain Clinic, but I already have 3 for January...they can wait until after Christmas.
I had my chiro appt yesterday, and every 2 weeks after that. Other than that, I think that is it until Feb when I see my Neuro again Unless something creeps in lol
December 30 checkup
Currently in 1st month of having switched from Copaxone to generic
Thanks!
Two appointments this month--both routine. One is for lab work and the other is a followup on the lab work by seeing the doctor to go over the results. My potassium level is being watched, as well as blood glucose. I have Type 2 diabetes.
I figured out that in a good year when there are no problems that need medical attention, I still have an average of one appointment a month. I gave up several doctors a long time ago even though they're doctors many people routinely have: urologist, gynecologist, otolaryngologist and dermatologist.
Even so, I still have routine appointments for lab work, the primary care doctor, the neurologist, the ophthalmologist, the optician, the audiologist (hearing aids), the dentist, the podiatrist, and the diabetic shoe specialist. Some years PT sessions are added in--usually about 8 appointments. And I've been lucky in not having serious falls or infections recently.
This is what life is like when you're getting along in years--quite a few appointments just to take care of your health.
It keeps me busy. In years when there have been falls or infections or other problems, I've been much busier just keeping up with the needed medical appointments.
So my neuro called i have an apt at 1:20 to c him. I also have my chiro in the morning at 10am. I am sure once we r in longview scott will want to do shopping or something so its gonna be a long day it will take at least 3 days to recover from. Yippee
