The best headline I've read in months. There is no real need to read the article but I personally believe in the headline statement. So much progress is being made that there will be better treatment sooner rather than later.
It has happened for other auto-immune diseases so it will happen for MS, maybe not in the form of an actual cure but in a way to more predictably stop / mitigate the disease for newly diagnosed people. and it's goodness for all of us.
Call me cynical if you want, or disillusioned maybe, but that sort of headline has been running constantly since they the interferons and copaxone first became available in the 1990s. In order to "stop" something you have to know what causes it in the first place and despite decades of research the cause/s of MS are still not known, and they still don't have a clue about how to reverse the damage caused by MS, so while a lot of progress has been made with more effective treatments (which really only slow down the disease), I think that headline will still be running in another twenty or thirty years...........
all the more important reason to look after your health and fitness now. the first people to be looked at are the fittest and healthiest all things considered
