Keep venting here! We can take it! And you can conquer this thing! Your MS will love you for not smoking (as will the rest of your body) and might start behaving better.
Oh, boy, I would so love a cigarette too but sigh it's been almost 10 years, not sure. I scoot behind the rare cigarette smoker sometimes to catch a whiff. I hate not smoking, healthy as it is but cannot smoke around people, kids and pets especially without feeling guilty and then I started feeling guilty about maybe starting a fire and the damage that would do to say firefighters, my favorite group of people in the world. So believe me you're not alone. (I should add basically you can survive without a cigarette, there are better ways to spend your money and all the time consumed by buying, lighting, smoking, dousing, that's new free time for you. I do recommend reading a lovely book called 'Cigarettes are Sublime' by Richard Klein, Duke University Press, 1995, ISBN-10 0822316412.) Best,
you can do it! I quit in 2010,and I still think about it but think of all the positives, saving money(i don't know where mine is it disappeared) oh, and your health.I quit because I found I have a really cheap gene when my cigarettes went to $5.00 a pack,I had to quit! Please just put them down and walk away.I still walk by smokers and take a deep breathe and think how delicious...
"Making" someone quit smoking is probably not possible from what I've learned. But once you quit, it is done but still a constant battle thereafter I understand - but a battle that can be won.
Youβre doing so well. Being down to 1 cigarette is great. I quit in 1992 and at the time I prayed that I would forget how much I enjoyed it. That prayer was answered. I now canβt stand the smell of cigarette smoke π₯΅. Keep up the good fight and vent when needed.
