The cast is finally off!

Went to the orthopedic Dr today & he said I could get the cast removed. I am wearing a splint for the next three weeks but at least I can take it off to bathe. And the best part is I can scratch it if it itches! The itching was about to drive me bonkers, not to mention that they get a bit stinky too. Dr said it was healing just a bit flat on the end of the radius bone, it should be a little slanted up towards the thumb. I told him I could live with that rather than surgery. If I was in my 20's or 30's maybe I'd have surgery, but mid 60's NOPE not gonna happen. I have promised to stay away from wheelbarrows in the future. if I need dirt moved I am to call my son n law (he will probably call his son) to come help.

I am surprised that this broken arm didn't set off any weird nerve things like I've had in the past when I've gotten hurt. I think its due to the Ocrevus. The only weird thing that has happened since I've been on it has been NOTHING. I keep looking around the corner & over my shoulder thinking MS is there waiting to pounce. So far so good!

Do as you are told as regards the splint, dont go forgetting to put it back on after a shower, it’s still healing, so be a good girl.🤭 3 weeks will go quick. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 💐

Thank you, I know, I've seen what can happen if you start trying to use it too soon. I worked for a Dr for a couple of years & learned a lot, plus his wife is one of my friends.
