two interesting articles that go over new studies that start to validate the links between food, gut leak, stress, autoimmune disease, mental disease and how early this whole chain might start. Focused on autoimmune diseases, but not specific to MS.
I can see that I am just now starting to get back from a major attack brought on by stress. It's crazy how our immune systems can just shut down or go hay wire.
Interesting articles. Thank you for sharing them. As I have become more aware of how my body functions (something I might not have learned were it not for MS), I realize how my body reacts to stressors of all sorts: from elevations in blood pressure, to gut disturbances, to cognitive fog, to insomnia, etc. Perhaps in the not too distant future the medical communities will become more integrated rather than as now, specialized and distinct from one another.
Very interesting. The first article sounds like my granddaughter last fall. I remember my daughter was so upset because she was not getting better after a strep infection. She is good now, after an increase in her anxiety medication.
I believe this 100%. Had no clue when I started healthy eating. Also had stress levels described by professional educators for my busines, as greater than O'hare' s air traffic controllers job. That was no surprise. Combine that with a diet of junk, including too many high Scoville ranked chillies on my nacho burgers or hot dogs....Yeah, I ate horribly, and probably poisoned myself into opening the gates to M.S.
The AIP (Auto Immune Paleo) Diet is supposed to help fight Auto Immune issues. I also recall that the Paleo Diet also helps fight "Internal Inflammation." FYI.
