This is multiple sclerosis (ms) it is a progressive illness. Do not be afraid of being proactive and making changes to suit yourself. Make a change at your time and place maybe not so much as a consequence of disease activity. When "YOU" are strong learn what your options maybe if "YOU" progress. Better to have learned and studied your options when "YOU" are strong then to have to make decisions when "YOU" are emotional weak or under pressure. I think the Boy Scouts say it well, "Be Prepared"
This is ms things will catch "YOU" unawares, that is the nature of our condition. The more knowledge that "YOU" have the better off "YOU" will be and the less "YOU" will be surprised.

'ms' is uncertain, but that doesn't mean your care is. Plan, adapt, and ask yourself, what I can do to get through this. Together, we are all Stronger when we learn from each other's experiences.
When I first got diagnosed I focused on it is an uncurable disease more than the treatments. I went to my local funeral home and planned my funeral so my husband and kids didn't have to burden themselves with that. I decided later that day to tell them and then decided that I wasn't going down without a fight. I went in the next morning and learned that while it's uncurable there are things that can help manage it. I was so thankful for the appointment the next morning because my neuro spent one on one time with me to answer any questions that I had and to discuss different options that we could try. I got the appointment that many don't get and that is an appt that was not rushed.
