G’day my beloved ms family. We are all well I hope. Slept well, little to no ms gremlins causing issues. They do sometimes, best to talk to your doctor and do something about them. Do not be like me and suffer in pain for years, it was a calculated decision, I was not being reckless. Well, any more than I usually am.
Stop right now. I will say something that being new to this journey, “YOU” may not know, YET. Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms) is not as bad or as painful as advertised. I am being honest here, it is NOT as bad as people say or what “YOU” dream up in your nightmares. It is a chronic progressive incurable condition, BUT it is one that “YOU” can adapt to and LIVE with. Do not fear the what-ifs and maybes, LIVE YOUR LIFE. Live it to your fullest There most certainly are things that “YOU” can not do, I can not do 20 pull-ups in a row. 60 to 80 in a day but not 20 in a row. There is so much that “YOU” CAN do. Do not say I have ms therefore I will not try to do that anymore. Go out and seek what “YOU” CAN do. Surprise yourself. If “YOU” care, surprise others. This is not a condition for the weak-willed, develop some courage and determination in yourself. Maintain it, keep it up. “YOU” do not put fuel in your car once and expect to never fill it again. Do the same with your body, Your ms.
Take your disease-Modifying Therapy as prescribed every day and forever. Never stop, do not give up. Unless “YOU” are really rare, it is working for “YOU”, “YOU” just may not realize it. Keep up with doing what “YOU” are doing for your ms. I understand that it is hard sometimes, BUT, life can be hard. Make your choice to live your best way. Not mine, not your doctors, (no matter how cute he or she is) do it for yourself. At 3 am, when the ms gremlins come waking “YOU. It is only “YOU” that can stand up against them. It is possible my ms sibling, “YOU” CAN do it, believe in yourself.
Speaking of tools, everybody has a heard of my other favourite book, “Ikigai”, have a read of it. I like to watch Alaskan bush people shows. How they adapt and use different techniques to solve their problems. Teaches me to think outside the box to solve my problems. I like Lord os the Rings, how small insignificant Hobbits battled so hard against incredible odds to make a change. If they could, maybe I could as well, maybe “YOU” could too. It will require a change, BUT it is not as bad as they say. This is something that “YOU” CAN DO. Believe that “YOU” can, accept the setbacks but always forge ahead in your very own unique RRms journey.
I would like to think in my 20+ years, I have done okay. Lived reasonably well and this is something “YOU” can do too. All it takes is some determination. Maybe sometimes some medicine. Strong DMT and a steadfast determination NOT to be a victim of our illness. Be unique, be strong, be good and happy.

we are all better than what they say, because we are strong and determined
