Imagination

Dare yourself to imagine. Every time that you take your Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT) imagine that medicine flowing through your bloodstream. Be it a needle, an infusion or a tablet. Visualise it flowing into your body, repairing and defending the parts of your body being ravaged by our sneaky tricksy companion. Each dose of your medicine builds the barriers against RRms a little stronger. It does take time and it does require effort from “YOU”. It truly is an effort that “YOU” can make. There will be times when “YOU” doubt yourself, doubt that :YOU” are worthy or able to do what is being asked of “YOU” by your body and by this illness. Never be afraid of just stopping for a moment. Perhaps shedding a tear, yelling at the wall. ms in all its forms effects your brain. Your brain is where the chemicals are that effect your emotions. To much of one chemical can lead to unexpected and unwanted behaviours. Try overdosing on a mind altering drug and “YOU” will understand what I mean. Seriously do NOT overdose it really is no fun, take it from me as somebody who has overdosed several times, unintentionally of course. Scares the family as well, and really worries your dog.

No, use your imagination. The tools that “YOU” have found to build a stronger “YOU” This is not, as I have said a take two aspirin and “YOU will be better in the morning condition. This is a very long term illness. It is with all of us until we pass. Mine has been twenty years so far, and I intend on doing everything possible, too making it another twenty years. On my feet, at the gym and travelling around the place. Perhaps that is your dream so just start imagining what “YOU” have to do to make it happen. I used to have a yellow plastic construction helmet that I would wear at every needle time. Bob the Builder” played every time I took my medicine. I imagined it fixing the damage RRms did and strengthening my myelin sheaf. Silly maybe but so is RRms. “YOU” do what “YOU” can and what “YOU” must every moment of everyday to keep yourself as strong as “YOU” can for as long as “YOU” can.

“FIND” the tools, “LEARN” the techniques that will carry “YOU” through and give “YOU” the strength for the dark moments. This is a doable illness, full of unexpected events that test “YOU” but with a belief in yourself a few smart decisions and “YOU” are on your way to a very long interesting journey along your ms life path.

Stay strong and be good RoyceNewton ! I hated taking my shots, 3xs a week. So I would joke with my puppy and kitten and ask them if they wanted to take um!🙄 Jasper🐱 would hang out with me while I took it though! 🤗💕 it made me feel better! 🦈

Now with the Ocrevus, I see and feel it going in my body. I hold my shark charm and my grandma's ring, and say, We Got This! 🤗💕🦈
