Failure, certainly not something that I like to do, but something I am very familiar with, in this my long life with Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms). How I cope with and learn from my failures is the key. The key to waking up and getting out of bed the next day The key to keep moving the key to living well with RRms.
There will be a lot of failures in this your long RRms life, how “YOU” adjust yourself to this new reality will determine if your many years are ones of happiness or constant gloom. Always we have a choice to make. Can and will “YOU” accept or will “YOU fight bang your head against a brick wall or just surrender sit in a dark corner and cry. It really is up to “YOU” and “YOU alone.
Adjust your mindset. Learn to accept that yes, “YOU” do have a disease. One that is potentially disabling, but need not be. At least the amount of disability that occurs “YOU” may have some influence over. This is without a doubt a big condition with many, many variables. That does not mean that “YOU” can have no influence over its outcome. I am very sorry to say for “YOU” and she who must be obeyed that there is NO CURE. This will not go away no matter how hard “YOU” wish. Accept it my friend, we all have ms of some sort and must learn to live with it. Not surrender and hide ourselves away but to “LIVE” with it and “LIVE” with it to our best.
Now that “YOU” are coming to terms with that Rrms, there are many things that “YOU” can do. Yes, it is hopeless but “YOU” are most certainly not helpless. Go back and look for “newbies” posts on this page, they will give “YOU” a lot of advice but certainly not all as to what “YOU” can and maybe should start doing.l. Your best advice is wear protective underwear. Soil yourself once and it may harm your confidence for years SECOND and very important start some Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT), “YOU” may not like to do it, but this is one thing I will always say that “YOU” must. Change if “YOU” have to, but never ever stop taking it. Waiting and seeing will not do anything for “YOU” at all. Take action for your long term health today, not tomorrow today.
There is a lot to cope with immediately upon your diagnose (DX) but getting on a DMT and wearing protective underwear are right up there. Diet, exercise etcetera can wait a little while. That is not to say that “YOU” should start binge eating cream filled donuts, it is still possible to die of a heart attack, so be sensible about your health. Take positive action and keep yourself in as good condition as “YOU” possibly can Do not be afraid to do things because “YOU” may fail. Fail at things and be proud in yourself that “YOU” actually tried. My list of failures is to long to count, but at least I tried, and I can live with the failures, and maybe find a different way to do them so I do not fail if ever I try to do them again.

failure says you tried and it is only failure if you never try again
