Old, But Positive News!
Supremo, it's Fancy! Thanks for the wonderful information. I have the secondary Progressive form of MS. It often feels as if the people who have SPMS have just simply been jumped over and left set. The RRMS form of MS have received a giant share of research and have had numerous therapies approved for their treatment. Recently it's the PPMS individuals who have had new treatments approved for their use. I spoke recently to an MS specialist who said the drug companies were starting to realize they skipped over a huge portion of the marketplace as related to MS Therapies when they skipped the approval of numerous therapies for the SPMS patients. The SPMS group of patients have been growing steadily as the MS world continues to evolve and patients are now under doctor's care who now have had MS for decades instead of simply having it for years. The drug companies according to the MS Specialist are all scrambling to do clinical trials to approve their various DMT's for the SPMS group so they are not left out of their market shares. Unfortunately it seems like it always comes down to money but whatever it takes to keep the research fresh and continuing in the right direction for all patients with all forms of MS. Again thanks for the great post and the fantastic information. Keep up the good work! Remember, together we are stronger! Fancy.
You might discuss with your Neurologist on taking Ocrevus for SPMS.
I heard some great reviews of it, particularly for SPMS people.
