My health and MS sucks. Tired of dealing with insurance company - which pretty good, just waiting. Tired of doctor’s staff. Fired my psychiatrist at UPENN. Too many specialists to manage my symptoms. I have too many doctor appointments. Colonoscopy in first of January. My neurologist wants me to consider Ocrevus even though as usual my MRIs do not correspond to the severity of symptoms. I hope my visit at John Hopkins is more promising..... God is in control .. not my disease, doctors, .....
Thank goodness, God is in control.
Have wonderful time celebrating his birth.....
And in general
Have a happy holiday season and for the New Year ...

Prayers to you and your family. 🙏🏽Thank you for your inspirational posts and encouragement, love and support as well for others I have met this year on this site. You all have helped me through a difficult year.
as Kenu says, "Wishing you better health and happiness". Plus I learned a new word and its meaning. Thank you. I believe I like that one for my 2019 days & beyond . . .
Beautiful word, the colours that I can imagine with it are soft, but rich, blending together like a rainbow. Hope you are feeling better soon, hugs 🤗 Jimeka 🎄
I want to wish you happiness and good health for the holidays and new year. I have to think of a word but I can relate to the to many doctors I was going to my PC on a three month schedule but I put a stop to that it’s not like she has a cure for anything I have speaking about appointment how often do any of you see your primary care doctor??
I was getting different type of hassles, more related to PCP and physiatrist (every 3 month Botox injections) canceling my appointments for various reasons and making extremely difficult to reschedule. I only see PCP when I have a medical problem. Other physicians are fine.
I see my PCP about every 3-4 months for Rx refills on my antidepressant. Sooner if I am having medical problems and not feeling well. My new Neuro has me on an every 3-month schedule as well lately. My previous neuro had me on a 6 month but said I could go to a yearly but I preferred 6 months.
My Bible Study is going very well. At church they did a Women’s Bible Study on the Fruits of the Spirit which helped rejuvenate my soul, mind and body. Next my favorite, Sermon on the Mount in Matthew. But my personal Bible studies using a Bible app (YouVersion Bible app), has been the most effective for my personal growth and renewal. I feel more at peace, less anxious and loved.
Hidden While we cannot control things outside of ourselves, we can certainly control how we react. I was introduced to the word 'hygge' this Fall It is the Danish concept of coziness … the art of creating warmth and well being through connection, treasuring the moment, and surrounding yourself with things you love. ~ Pia Edberg
I applaud you for taking control of your medical stuff, and wish for you better outcomes in 2019.
I wish you all the strength to get thru this. It is a thing. Been through them. M.S. is a never ending struggle. How can't you with if nothing else, M.S. bringing your life in a whole new direction from that of your planned course. But, if you're strong enough no matter how bad it is and give it your all, you can get through it just like the rest of us! You MUST. What's the alternative. Yeah, not for me. I'm going to fight it with my all. I don't always win, but I AM winning! I still have a whole lot of wanna do's.
Your psych's can help you with the brain chemistry. It does take a good one, and there ae a lot of so so one's out there. It may take them a whole lot of "trial & error", because I don't see where it's all that refined a science yet, but they can fix whatever's chemical wrong, if there is, just like so many other medical things. We are not that favorite car of mine that keeps on going and going and going without any real care. The Psych's saved my daughter from almost giving into it, twice. She is since a neuro psych doctorate done that, moving on.., who has herself now properly drugged as she proudly jokes about it, and is succeeding as a major state district highest achieving student math teacher by the kids success testing. Found and understands what it takes to live with what she has, as a result has a life with interests....all the stuff you can easily loose otherwise. No, she's not without her hurdles in life. But she is doing it! Loving all the things she loves, and doing it! Proud of her!
And the colonoscopy, well that's..., no..., more relaxing than an MRI! You get to nap thru them both. Just tell the anesthesiologist that "if he/she can, you don't really care to remember any of it". Made them great procedures! General's are still the most refreshing! Almost as good as a blast freezer session at minus 45°F!
I look at that as a great cleanse! Feel so much lighter thereafter! Somone keeps telling me I'm full of it. Then I can honestly respond, nope! And after the procedure, I have video confirmation! Sorry, couldn't resist.
Ah, my heart meets yours on these issues. I find myself almost becoming phobic with doctor’s appointments. Too many, not enough help. I stopped most of the pain meds because I got tired of once a month, pee in the cup, yadda yadda. A new pain doctor is winding them down and then I’m done, except for something I can take at the end of the day for pain. I want to live, rather than see doctors. (The pain issue has gotten nuts.) So after my hand fx has healed, I’ll see what I need. Thanks for your post. I really needed it and hope you’re getting to feel well soon. 💐☀️
