I hope everyone is safe with this hurricane. Here up in Massachusetts we have gone down to 55*f you know we are never happy with this weather. I am thinking about putting on the furnace. Be safe everyone.

Truly! One of my brothers has a home on a N.C. barrier island in the direct path of Florence. If everyone takes a deep breath and blows hard, maybe she will go back out to sea? 🤞

Hi ya'll..thank you for thinking of us in the Southeast! We are right in the path here in Wilmington NC! Husband boarding up now & hopefully got enough provisions. I just don't want to loose power...I love my ac! And guess what..my Dr called & she wants me to start my 1st Tysabri infusion this afternoon. I guess better now than later..not sure how long before we all recover from this! Prayers please :)

I was almost done with moving from one apartment to another when I had to fly back to Italy with my husband. He's afraid to travel by himself. I'm wondering what I'll be returning to. I had stuff on the closed in patio at the one place and a few items on a balcony at the other. I'm wondering if it will still be there or long gone in the wind. If it's long gone I guess that just means less stuff to move. The timing of this trip is just very inconvenient for me and I'm not sure that my husband even appreciates it. I travel back on 18 September...by myself...to finish moving. Hopefully there isn't to much damage. The other thing I'm worried about is flooding at the new place since it is on the ground floor and not too far from a major river. I'm not there to sand bag it. Here's hoping for the best since I can't prepare for the worst.

I hope and pray that all will be well in both places. My sister who lives in SC I called her to day to ask her if she has to evacuate and she said no so I am praying that she will be alright. Than she was not feeling well. Not a time to be sick.

So I am praying for everyone in the area hurricane zone.

Where I work is in an evacuation zone...but as far as I know neither apartment is in an evacuation zone yet. I did get messages earlier today from both offices saying they are closed until further notice. The distance between work and the one apartment is about 10 miles and the other is about 16 miles. Either way I guess I count as evacuated.

Hope everything works out for your sister.

Thanks I just wonder about your car if you stay if the water rises high your car could be junk if the salt water gets into the engine. I want to thank you for thinking about my sister not a good time to not feeling well. Be safe what ever you do. K

My car is currently parked in the Charleston international airport parking lot. Hopefully it won't get beat up to badly. I just put a new transmission in it. But I have replacement insurance coverage so hopefully it's covered that way.
